No work for 90 minutes as I listen to the match! The trcik is to stare at the screen as if you are concentrating on very important work (oh, and don't yell when Arsenal scores).
OT, but Coach I just had to rep you in a probably futile attempt to make you feel better despite that damn avatar and sig. Be strong, dude.
Yeah, hopefully they can put on a decent show. If Citeh play their first team even a narrow loss would be a good result. Saying that, I think whatever team they put out our second string should match them most of the way, the only thing I'd be worried about is that the back four haven't played together that much.
We should create a thread with different tips for watching/listening to soccer at work while giving your co-workers the impression you are being productive
Gents, If there's anyone who wants play-by-play on this thread, I'm available to do it. I'll just be listening to the broadcast, but I know not everyone can do that at work. Lemme know and I'll post here.
thanks for the PBP guys. I'm at work and on the phone so I can't listen to the broadcast. I'm not even supposed to be at bigsoccer, but oh well.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned the addition of Sebastian Larsson, a midfielder, who looks to be starting for us tonight. Swedish, 19 yrs old (I think).
Five Live just reported that outside the Arsenal dressing room there is a sign that says: "No soup or pizza beyond this point."
SWP, Distin, Mills, Fowler in for City. Sounds like a couple of new faces in central defense and midfield.
BBC is reporting this squad for the game Almunia, Hoyte, Cygan, Senderos, Larsson Pennant, Fabregas, Flamini, Smith Van Persie, Lupoli Subs: Taylor, Cregg, Djourou, Owusu-Abeyie, Karbassiyoon,
And Man City... Waterreus Thatcher, Distin, Mills, Onuoha Flood, D'Laryea, Sibierski, Sinclair Wright-Phillips, Fowler, Subs: Stuhr-Ellegaard, Jordan, McCarthy, Negouai, Wright-Phillips Looks like some regulars are in there...
You should be worrying about Willo Flood, too! Good to see Arsenal have Patrick Cregg on the bench: He played three matches for Ireland's U-19s last week.
