i see big soccer are offering both arsenal home and away jersies for $41, I don't know which to choose. Any one who actually owns both or one of them tell me which one is off better quality. which would you rather have home or away

I want a home Ljungberg jersey. If someone can help me out as to where I can get one for something less than an arm and a leg I'd be appreciative!

I say get the home. I have both, long and short sleeve and home is a more practical everyday type shirt.

I say everyday, I see you are a liverpool supporter, because you are probably not wearing it to show your support but rather just because you like kits (I do too and own others beside my Arsenal stock)

That yellow is almost blinding in person, I think it is cool, but it is the color (almost Flurescent [sp.] yellow) of a highlighter or traffic cop vest.

You're right about the obnoxious yellow.

As a general rule, I stay away from collared jerseys. And the day-glo yellow of the Arsenal away jersey makes it even easier to abstain. The home jersey is ok, but it's getting replaced next year (thank God!) I have the home jersey, and while it's an ok jersey stylewise, the way the sleeves are designed really bothers me. I say buy something from Toffs or try to find the 91 or 93 jersey (my favorite of all time. I even really liked last year's 2nd except for the hypnotic pattern on the front.

I'm the opposite - I prefer collared jerseys just b/c I like wearing kits with jeans. I actually like the away yellow vs. the home. Also it's a retro style jersey . . . I was quite surprised that it's so yellow on tv - up close there is actually texture to the jersey . . . oh well, after being used to wearing a flourescent orange Holland jersey, I'm not fussed about the yellow!

I agree with NYR Metros though - the Arsenal 2001 Home Dreamcast rocks.

NYR - it appears you are a Cottager - you certainly went through some trouble to get an Arsenal 2001 shirt? I guess you follow Arsenal as a secondary team or do you just like the shirt or do you like a particular player on the team? Anyhow, I suggest a full switch to the Red and White Army!

Personally, I do love the black and white stripes of NewCastle when they were sponsored by Brown Ale but I'm much more of a hard core fan these days so if I'm going to wear another team's colours, it'd likely be one not playing in the EPL or national colours instead . . .

haha. I'm actually a Newcastle supporter. Alan Shearer! However after reading Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby I could never have a hatred for Arsenal. Also the 2001 home kits were fantastic. (Thanx Marty Marts!) :) I also follow any other EPL team that has a Yank in their squad. And since Fulham has added 2 Yanks within a week, how could I ignore them?

I may be a BAD EPL fan..... No real hatred for any other team. But how could I? Only started watching in 2000 thanx to FSW.

I live the new away jersey compared to the home jersey, but I have to agree, the Dreamcast is class. I have the gold Sega jersey(my first Arsenal jersey) which goes great with jeans. I'm a fan of the collars, but the home jersey isn't too bad. I would rank it higher, but the way they did the sleeves knocks it down.

    Red

Arsenal Red has been Arsenal Red for many many years, where as the yellow, gold, blue seems to change every so often. I think your a bit better off in the long term with the red.

Of course, I got tired of all that and bought a retro 70s kit that never goes out of style.

    Re: Red

    Here, here!

Toffs is great for retro jerseys. No sponsors, no frills, just great quality shirts with the cannon prominantly displayed right over the heart.

Red and White Home is a Classic!

I bought it last August and wear it once a week or whenever Arsenal has a match. Makes me feel one with the Arsenal Army.

Like LFC has all red. Real Madrid have all white. We have Red and White. There are just things that are so right and tradition is to be embraced.

    Go Gunners!!!

I've never owned an arsenal shirt but I'd definitely go for the away shirt. The home shirt will be changed next season.

I much prefer the home kit. Unfortunately, in my new neighborhood, you can't wear red so prominently (for safety reasons). I've had to shelve my two home shirts and order an away kit.

Will they wait until the summer to announce the new home kit?

    I don't care for next season's shirt.

I bought a couple retro shirts from TOFFS. My favorite is the 1930 one, although it doesn't seem right without the white sleeves.

I'll always go home over away shirt.
