I was drawn to Barcelona for a few reasons: 1: They are in a beautiful city. Ever since the Olympics, I have wanted to visit. 2:Camp Nou 3: Their kits and crests. 4: RMCF is the Man Utd of Spain. So I can relate being a Gooner and a Cule. 5: Exciting style of play. 6: Not following the crowd in the USA.....most footie fans are a Man Utd or Real Madrid supporter or BOTH!! No matter how many tons of clubs and countries I like/support. My heart will always first and foremost be with ARSENAL!!!!
You can't really blame Overmars, he was obviously looking to spend the short career that footballers get trying to collect as many trophies with as many different clubs as possible, yes it would have been nice to keep him, but I can't recall him protesting his deep love for Arsenal and exclaiming he never wanted to leave, Petit was a bit different but got a bit overawed by Barca I guess. I'd have happily kept Overmars, and Petit without his dodgey knee.But the money made any poor feeling fade very fast!!
