Well the rumours that had been going round Highbury (and everywhere else) can finally be put to rest. Even though Arsenal were not part of Champions World there was still hope that the club would do something in the US. Not this year though. It has been confirmed that the club have yet again booked their pre-season base in Bad Waltersdorf, Austria. The last three years out in Austria have been fantastic, loads of great memories and always getting to meet the players in a very relaxed atmousphere (one of the best being distracting Edu 5 minutes before kickoff with photo's and shirts for signing, knowing that Pat Rice was trying to get him on the pitch). So if anyone has a spare week or so, Arsenal will be staying in the camp from the 21st July until the 29th July. They always play 3 games, which won't be confirmed for a while. Don't expect the Euro 2004 players to be playing in the games, but they will be at the camp. Afterwards it is rumoured that they might go to Amsterdam for the Amsterdam Tournement, one which they have competed in before.
This news should be filed right next to the headline "Sun to Rise in The East Again" Arsene certainly loves the Austrian Alps.... ”We may be undefeated in the league, but we just can’t beat Manchester United” – Coach McGuirk
