I figure most people are actually watching this, but I thought I'd throw out a few bits anyway... -Jeffers starts, Pires and Upson on the bench, Holloway (?) is the backup keeper. -The Gunners are wearing the gold tops for the first time this season.
3rd minute Goal West Brom. West Brom 1 Arsenal 0. Dichio on a header from a corner by Koumas. WBA have made a lively start... WBA win a corner when Keown can't control it and puts it out of touch. A long-range shot by Dichio is palmed over the top by Seaman. West Brom then win another corner which leads to the goal.
Other bits... Graham Poll's the ref, which means I'd lay odds on that someone gets their marching orders. The only way WBA can compete against Arsenal is by kicking lumps out of the champions.
8th minute Henry's chip is too far for Jeffers. Ever since the goal Arsenal have camped out in WBA territory. Much of the action has gone through Wiltord on the right.
Elsewhere... Chelsea with a scoreless draw at home against Soton... Sp*rs with a 2-2 draw against Charlton... Fulham draw 1-1 with West Ham (I thought this one was supposed to be on FSW but all I saw was the tail-end of an infomercial...)
12th minute Lauren's cross from the right is easily caught by Russell Hoult. Darren Moore commits a foul in midfield, free kick to Arsenal. Wiltord's cross is knocked out of touch for Arsenal's first corner kick, but it's headed out by Campbell.
16th minute Cole's cross from close range is booted out for an Arsenal corner. GVB's kick is headed to the corner by Vieira, Wiltord races to track it down. Henry looks a little dinged up as he's limping a bit...
18th minute GVB's dangerous cross in the box is missed by Henry, who had Sean Gregan closely marking him. Keown gives away a free kick to Roberts, and Martin's got a few words to say to him. Poll comes over and has a word.
20th minute Dichio with a nasty foul from behind on Gilberto, Poll only verbally cautions him. From the free kick Campbell heads it out of touch (but it looked like he was whistled for a foul anyway). Elsewhere... Bolton 3 Newcastle 1 (in progress). The points at the top are there for the taking.
24th minute Roberts pushes Keown at the edge of the box, he's called for a foul. WBA fans don't like it, but it's obviously clear that their side are undertalented, and kicking is the only way to go. Jeffers offside at the tail-end of a 3-man move. Glass Ankles is getting his chance, but he's done nothing of note so far...
26th minute Henry's left-footer from outside the box goes well high for a goal kick. Henry hasn't scored a goal in four matches.
29th minute Three Arsenal crosses are knocked away by West Brom. A fourth, a cross by Wiltord from the left, forces Hoult to backpedal awkwardly and palm it over the top for a corner.
31st minute Wiltord with another cross from the left, GVB gets a weak header to it that goes out for a goal kick.
34th minute Arsenal spell of possession ends with a pass to an offside GVB. Even though Arsenal have had nearly all the possession in this one they haven't really had a dangerous chance on goal.
36th minute Yellow card to Dichio for a stupid and petulant bump on Keown well after he'd passed it back to Seaman.
38th minute Henry, who's switched out to the left and is seeing more of the ball, shoots well wide from about 25 yards out.
40th minute A lousy backpass from Gregan puts Hoult under pressure, and he has to boot it out of touch. Arsenal's possession ends with an offside call against Henry just inside the box.
43rd minute Jeffers wastes a golden opportunity with a terrible cross. Henry was there, but he put it far too close to Hoult.
44th minute Arsenal win a corner as Jeffers's cross is knocked out of play. The cross is low and easily cleared out.
Halftime West Brom have a decent chance at the end of the half, as Roberts beats two men on the left, but his low cross is behind Dichio. Elsewhere... Bolton 4 Newcastle 3 (was 4-1 at one point).
At the half... This game is very poor to watch, but to be fair to West Brom, they got the lead and have tried to shut things down. It's really the only way they can compete against the Gunners, and they certainly aren't going to try to play with Arsenal like Boro did last week. Arsenal have forced Hoult to make just one save, and that obviously isn't good enough. Pires and Kanu standing by on the bench... Elsewhere: Bolton 4, Newcastle 3 (FT)
46th minute A fierce drive from GVB forces Hoult to push the ball out of play for an early Arsenal corner.
48th minute Goal Arsenal. Jeffers takes advantage of a bad touch by the Albion defense to equalize. Henry's cross is touched on by a West Brom defender right into Jeffers's path. Arsenal 1 West Brom 1.
51st minute The Baggies try to answer as Roberts nutmegs Keown in the corner and runs into the box, but Campbell slides over to make the saving challenge. Roberts goes down, but Poll waves play on.
