Ain't you a rock climber? Even though I've never been down there to climb I hear that rock climbing at Mt. Lemmon is great. http://www.climbarizona.com/areas.html
To be honest, Tuscon's not my favourite place, but it is close to all the cool places in AZ w/ fun stuff to do. What kinds of things are you into? I've lived here for about 15 years. AZ rules.
It was either Detroit or Tucson, and I chose Tucson. Any information is good to me, I live in Chile, so except for LA and San Francisco I don't know a thing about SW USA.
Well, he can move anywhere in Arizona -or not move at all- I have to go to Tucson (school). That's why I ask for Arizona in general and Tucson in particular.
A couple of hours. It's a straight shot across I-10, and you pass some very interesting things along the way. Like the ostrich farm at the base of Picacho Peak (sp?), for example.
Pichaco Peak is a nice park off 10 between Tucson and Phoenix. Sabino Canyon is a park around Tucson that's quite nice. Saguaro National Park is awesome. Picnic in the (mostly) dry river beds and look for pottery/artifacts in the river banks. You might find some interesting stuff. Head down to Mexico for a day. I've been there a lot, but my geography and place names are sketchy. TeamUSA either lives there now or used to live there. Are you going to Univ. of AZ?
bio is, yes. and might be a bit harry getting back from Mexico as she is not from the states. I grew up in LA, so I heard my horror stories. and yez - That is deffinately the plan, but out time will be limited since she is in grad school. what year are you?
sweet, i will have people to visit out west! i have heard so many good things about arizona, i have been to phoenix but that is about it. i can tell you that when i was there the weather was amazing. it was warm but not humid at all, which is quite a change from when it is warm up here... when is the BCS championship game at the fiesta bowl again? at least i will have someone to stay with this time and that might convince me to head out there... congrats bio!
The hot chicks are about 120 miles North on I-10. My degree from ASU might be completely useless since as a learning institution ASU ranks right between Kindercare and a vocational school for homeless folk, but there are 30 to 40 thousand students enrolled and damn near most of the ones that are girls are hot.
so i have heard... of course my college was much the same <although we had a much better perception as a college, public ivy of the midwest according to some reports> with only 15,000 students though: miami university, oh how i miss those days...
There are plenty of college bars in Tempe where it's perfectly fine for graduates like ourselves to ogle ourselves silly over cheap beer. If you ever want a tour, look me up.
