I was watching Argentine League today on TYC. They settled. Don't know if Boca or River will be shown but at least the league is being played and televised again.

It's offered through the Directv Spanish or Deportes packages. It's an Argentine sports network owned by Directv

TyC Sports is partnership of Clarín and Torneos.

Torneos was involved in the corruption scandal.

You're best off to follow SA's guide because the on-screen guide on DTV is rarely correct. Any games I want to see are usually recorded using the manual function on my DVR. The guide currently lists no top flight matches even though that's what is on right now.

The new rights package being negotiated in Argentina applies to next season, so I (unfortunately) doubt we'll see any change the current season. It's head scratching why we get most games other than Boca and River. Fox/Turner, ESPN and Mediapro have tendered offers for tv rights after this season. This apparently includes international rights. What this would mean for seeing games in the USA is anyone's guess.

AFA accepted a joint bid from Fox and Turner for the Argentine league rights (over ESPN and MediaPro), so this article just talks about how much the games will cost in Argentina for a PPV package and who might be the announcers. Whether we'll see Argentine league games on Fox Deportes or TNT (hard to imagine the latter) or whether they will sublicense them to TyC or others for the USA is unknown at this point.

Technically, the contract is with Fox Sports Latin America and Tuner Latin America.

I don't know how excited I would be about this. It's not like any of these game are going to appear on Fox Soccer Plus and Fox Deportes has become a source to broadcast endless repeats of the same CL games. If Deportes can't show Libertadores, they're not going to air games from the Argentine league.
