Mourinho revolutionary tactic of getting his players to kick Barca, and Messi in particular, off the pitch doesn't appear to be working. But credit where credit is due, Mourinho is sticking with it and who knows, in about 10 years time it might work.

And isn't that Pepe chap a fine footballer.

    Lol at Rooney's twitter

"Pepe. What an idiot. Sometimes people wind you up," the England forward wrote on the social networking site.

When Messi then set Eric Abidal up for Barca's winner, Rooney added: "Haha. That goal serves Pepe right."

    Appearently Mourinho also warned Pepe

look at how many players surrounded Messi before Messi chipped the ball to Abidal lol

Pepe is an embarrassment to a club like Madrid. Why does he keep getting away this?

Did you see the Batistuta goal celebration Abidal did?

I saw him do it an immediately Bati popped into my mind.

I don't know. He seems to be precisely what Madrid are about these days. At least, when they play Barca. His thuggery is not exactly atypical of their play since Senor Por que took over. He just embodies it more than anyone else. I honestly don't know how that animal is allowed to carry a professional licence as a footballer.

Hah, can't believe Rooney twitted that. But eh, it was deserved so kudos to him.

only against Barca? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKt4IBxD5oo"]Pepe RED CARD Sent Off For Kicking & amp; Assaulting Getafe Captain Francisco Casquero - YouTube[/ame]

Pepe's antics are roundly condemned by all sides

    http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/sport/2012/0120/1224310515073.html

“Mourinhos latest pirouette was his worst,” added Marca . “Spanish football has seen many teams with far fewer resources who have made life more difficult for Barca. And with greater nobility.”

Everyone knows what Pepe is all about. The point I was trying to make is that since Mourinho took over, it seems that the whole team has taken on that same thuggish mentality when they play Barca. But yes, I know that Pepe has always been what he is.

And don't forget 65 million euros for Kaka. Mind you, the Ibra to Barca and ETO to Inter + plus a shed load of money has to be one of the worst transfer deals of all time.

All players they bought got nothing there, Owen, Saviola, Original Ronaldo, Beckham, Kaka, etc...

Also, many players get out from there and achieve something big... Sneijder, Cambiasso, etc

They are a cynical nasty side. The instructions come from the manager.

No coincidence that Pepe, Carvalho and Coentrao are the worst culprits as his compatriots.

di Stefano himself said he prefers the way Barcelona play over his own side.

As Barca's reputation has grown Real Madrid's has declined in proportion.

I don't know if they take their cue from him or not, but i do know he cointenances their actions by perpetually defending them and not disciplining them.

Ramos is was always will be an a55hole. Carvalho has always been the exact same player he is today. Pepe is your typical angry Brazilian fullback, reminds me of how Alves was before he got to Barca and calmed down a bit.

    OT
Albi - My English team, the Bluenoses, beat your Watford squad this weekend. That is as bad an indictment of Watford as one can possibly receive.

    OT - Los Pumas!

Also ,most importantly, the dates, locations are set for the Rugby Championship - Argentina plays SA in CAPE TOWN, baby! Ausust 28th. I really want to attend, trying to convince the other half.

A quite brilliant hattrick by Messi. The header he scored from was spectacular. Shame that his free kick hit the underside of the bar and bounced out.

    Messi superb assist against Madrid

Mourinho once again failed to beat Barca, this time has 7 players booked with 1 of them getting sent off. If its not Pepe then its his partner in crime.

Messi now has 13 goals + 7 assist in 17 matches against Real madrid

Messi was quiet vs Madrid for most parts. It was similar to how he plays for the NT. But he got the assisted and got his side the result they needed.

BTW, what are his stats for the season this season?

Close to his 2008-2009 stats... now at 36 goals + 17 assist... but only in 33 games instead of 50

No, its not the same Messi in NT.. In Barca when he has quiet game, usually because he dont have the momentum, .in NT he could have 4-5 chances, and still fail to score.
