Difficult to learn anything from this barring that Otamendi & Pezzella need to disappear and Scaloni needs to work on defending set pieces & aerial balls.

The positive was to see Balerdi make his debut. Looked comfortable. Made an interception & a couple of nice passes. Hopefully he gets to start with Romero for the next game.

Referee was appallingly bad. We definitely need to buck the ideas up. Rather see Varela 5 than Paredes too. Some new blood & new ideas.

It was bizarre. I guess Scaloni was hoping Molina + Montiel would keep a rein on Soteldo but ti didn't happen and Molina's pace could have offered an attacking outlet too. Again he did get into a couple of decent positions but couldn't deliver the right ball in. One overhit and one blocked.

 

Yep, its not by accidents we keeps conceiding from set pieces. Our opponents started to see the crack there. Pezzella in particular has always been bad at tracking his opponents in dead ball situation.

Since Copa started till now, we conceided 4 goals, 3 from headers ,1 from penalty.
