I just find it funny how the English media are always lauding how great the English national team are and how great their players are, how they are the envy of the world and not one Spanish or Argentinian player would get in the England squad, yet they never achieve anything. :D:D

I find it ironic that your avatar is London Calling

But seriously, its pure tribalism. Other than Jude Bellingham, I don't know who in their squad can make the Argentina NT

Jude Tappingham? He's got that British and Madrid P.R. working overtime. Have you seen how much he bitches and moans during a game? Good grief... He walks around as if he's ever accomplished anything. It's something about those Madrid boys. Vinicius was running his mouth against us after we won the World Cup and you have Rodrygo who has recently come out and complained about not being in the 30 for the Ballon d'Or.

    I'll take our boys anytime.

Vinni talking crap about Argentina is same as always, and let's be honest, goes both ways.

Rodrygo saying he belongs on the Balon list is delicious. 10 goals in La Liga and and he wants to be best of the world?? HA

Jude is legit. He is not the greatest midfielder in the history of soccer, but he's pretty good.

All that said, we are still the current World Champion, and back-top-back Copa American champion!

23 year old Brazillian scoring 10 La liga goals is considered as Ballon contender....Remember a 20 year old Saviola scored 17 goals in La liga? that's not impressive.:whistling:

So i noticed something very strange since the chile game in the comments.
Usually on twitter or on youtube, especially youtube, you have hateful comments or trolls commenting on TYC or conmebol feeds. After the chile game, I have seen nothing but PRAISE for this argentina team. It's like they saw beautiful football, realized how good the team is without messi and dimaria (like some bias), and accepted that Argentina is amazing.

Really strange seeing so much praise from rivals.

    I'm a The Clash obsessive :D

Paul Merson said that most people (I assume he means in Britain) wouldn't even know who half the Argentinian players are, let's assume that is true, what does it matter, Argentina are World Champions and back to back Copa winners, what are England champions of?

One thing I noticed watching reaction to world cup final videos is that no matter the country, Pakistan, Vietnam, India, African nations, Indonesia etc, etc, the overwhelming majority of people watching the game were supporting Argentina.

Back in the day, I could probably name most of England’s squad. Nowadays? I probably couldn’t name more than a few players. I simply do not watch the EPL that much anymore. In fact, if our players aren’t representing some team, this goes across all of the European leagues, I won’t watch. I have no interest. I watch mostly the Primera and an occasional match on the weekend in Europe.

I think most people can’t name English players anymore.’ The days of Lampard, Gerard, Beckham are over. They don’t have star players.

As for our players not being recognized, good. Us flying under the radar is a blessing. The giant hype that comes with a players who represent France or are Brazuca can continue for all I care. We can continue to win trophies while they can brag about XYZ is sold for tens of millions.

I've said few times here, England avoided us since Messi debuted in NT, no coincidence. When Messi retired they can say, Messi hasnt scores againts champion from prehistoric era.

That last friendlies we lost because Pekerhead pulled out Riquelme when we're leading, just like he did againts Croatia and also later on againts Germany. Only smart coach repeated same mistake 3 times.

Have you ever thought that these articles and thinking are like this because it's ignorance, but maybe secretly our player scare the shit out of their team and so this is their way of coping.
By denying great players being great.

This is a very football fan thing to do.

Most football related stuff now is clickbait, there are a varierty of football oundits who have come through social media, especially You Tube, and they realised that the more stupid and idiotic your take the more attention you will get. For instance there is one guy who started on You Tube, but is now on Talksport, his name is Rory Jennings, and he almost exclusively peddles in having the most idiotic takes but it works because he gets loads of engagement out of it, his most 'famous' take was that Haaland would struggle to score goals in the EPL and he would be lucky to score 15 goals in his first season with Man City. Of course you do have genuinely stupid and aoorganmt pundits, Paul Merson probably being the best of example.

They are but you have posters on this forum like supamario saying derogatory names against Italians 'tanos' and we don't understand why. Italian fans always support Argentina. Dont be salty some player who wouldn't have a chance your team is playing for Italy who are currently in a striker crisis.
