Is it me or is Dibu a bit weak when it comes to headers? He seems a bit out of position or reacts very late. He gave up a goal like that v the Netherlands, Ecuador at the CA and Chile hit the post today. Not to mention, the header Kolo Muani’s just missed and bounced away. From a CK, he’s fine but these long crosses and if a players gets on it and fires across from him, it seems he just sees it late or reacts a bit slow.

He sometimes has slow reactions to shots (headers included) from certain distances. Been saying it's his one weak point.

It's weird because for 1v1s he has cat-like reflexes.

Still, that chance was allowed by Otamendi.

A statistic about Dybala. This was only the 12th WCQ that he’s played. Yeah, I know, Messi and him play in the same role and etc. But who knows, if by some miracle if he can stay healthy, he can have a renaissance like ADM had with the seleccion. Yes, again, ADM and Messi play in different positions and it will be difficult to find the space but it’s hard to leave a talent like that stranded. You can see, anytime he steps onto the pitch, his talent is practically a level above almost anybody else. Maybe Scaloni will find somewhere to play when Messi gets back.

    Here is to wishful thinking.

Otamendi needs to save face and just retire but he won’t. He should literally be 4th if Scaloni is calling up 4 CBs. He was ball watching on that play. He’s been a liability for a long time now.

But the team played well. There were moments where they were unplayable and other times, missed place passes. I think the midfield needs some friendly competition. It won’t hurt to change it up a bit. Mac is all but untouchable right now.

I love the side. I saw Julian look dejected when it appeared he was gonna be subbed out but it was supposed to be Lautaro being removed. Then he scored that great goal and he just stood there lol.

I am just hoping that Scaloni uses newer players. I guess in a month when we have a softer schedule.

When I saw Taty, I was thinking who the hell is that guy who appears to be wearing some glued wig? I’m sure some of the fans as well were scratching their heads. Cmon, Scaloni, throw on Soulé instead… Garna had a moment where he nearly scored. He just had a bad touch and the ball got away from him. His movement was also decent.

I am just hoping that Scaloni uses newer players. I guess in a month when we have a softer schedule.

Technically I thought Lautaro looked as good as I've ever seen him yesterday, great to see. Felt like he was more involved than usual as well.

Relatively comfortable. Great finishes from Julian & Dybala. We need Otamendi to retire. Really get one of the new generation in ASAP.

Great tribute to the legend that is Angel di Maria. Thanks again for everything Angelito. Truly one of the greats.

Scaloni still needs to freshen this squad up. There's talent knocking on the door but it's not being allowed to breathe. Soule kicking his heels again. At least it's nice to see a reliable backup on the bench in Benitez rather than Armani.

Vs Colombia at Barranquilla, I highly doubt that Scaloni will play the likes of Soule and Barco. Think from his perspective, it's just to integrate them to the team slowly and see how they work. I expect them to feature in the Oct WCQ and onwards. I expect a lineup something like this vs Colombia

    -----------Alvarez------Lautaro
    Nico G.---MacA-----Enzo-------RDP
    Lisandro---Ota------Romero----Molina
    -------------------Dibu

Sub in Lo Celso, Paredes, Castellanos, Dybala and Garnacho

You nailed it. You see it as soon as he gets on, that his talent is practically a level above everyone else (including Di Maria).

I have always wanted Dybala to somehow play alongside Messi.

For a sec, I thought its Pastore with new greasy hair.

They played together briefly, during Sampaoli disasterous stint. If that count lol

Looks like Medina (the boca midfielder, not Facundo) is heading to Fenerbahce..

He’s a good player. Kinda lame, I know Fiorentina had also made an offer for him.. but I guess he’ll be coached by Mourinho in Turkey.

Speaking of Fiore, it appears Roman got stubborn and also turned down an offer from them for Valentini, even though he’s been excluded from the team and will become a free agent in 4 months lol

Everyone knows Dybala has a top class left foot but I didn't in know that Julian could finish like that with his weaker foot!

Messi and ADM also has scored some powershots with their weaker foot. Julian is in fact more two footed players compare to Messi, Di Maria and Dybala. I remember back in the day when Crespo and Batigol would regularly scores with either foot.

Now if only RDP can actually shoot with any of his foot , he'd have had at least 15 goals for NT at this point.... everytime he takes a shot it goes straight to the top row of the stadium. Even when his shot gets blocked, you could tell it would fly over the crossbar anyway. The same with Molina's long cross.

One thing that I noticed from Chile match is that Enzo started to perform much better and physically stronger. Before that he hasnt look very mobile after having that surgery.

Boca socios should vote him out at the next election. He's messing around with player's career.s Medina is on the fringes of a seleccion future but he has ability. He wanted to go to the Viola but thanks to Roman he's been forced to go to Turkey which is not on the same level . Three big clubs and the rest minnows. He really has no idea to negotiate player contracts and the Valentini mess is a prime example. He's doing Boca more harm than good.

A great player doesn't always make a great coach ie Mascherano or indeed administrator. As football is a business you need competent qualified business people.

Judging by the reaction of boca fans online. They love him. Blind love.
Otherwise he would have been voted out.

What do you expect from a bunch of Peronistas I guess. From one cult of personality to another. Can't wait for him to bring in more random Huracan players with the money he got for selling the current ones.

The Finalissima will most very likely happen in March 2026

Other news, seems like Nico G. will be available vs Colombia. MacAllister is still TBD, but I would still leave MacAllister out the whole game. Not worth risking him at all.

Finalissima is one thing that dont matter when we win it but it would be regarded as Euro/Copa equivalent when European team wins it. If Portugal wins it , it would add star to their jersey.

Funny that some of our top players like Messi, Aguero , Dybala and ADM are the ones that are injury prone but its the likes of Nico, Pezzella, Otamendi , Biglia, Armani, always ended up available.

Fun fact, since from 2008 onwards Spain have won 3 European Championships, 1 World Cup, 1 Olympic Gold medal and 1 Nations League.

Fun fact, from 2008 onwards Argentina have won 2 Copa Americas, 1 World Cup, 1 Olympic Gold medal and 1 Finalissima.

That's 11 international trophies between 2 teams in a 16 year period. But apparatently England are the great footballing nation of all time and them playing in 2 finals is the greatest achievement in sporting history.

Yep but we beat 2021 Euro champ Italy 3-0 , Spain lost to Brazil 0-3 in Confederation in 2013.

Also, we're in two finals of the last 3 WC. Spain constantly out before QF other than in 2010. They only reached 1 WC final , that really proof why Euro is harder lol

As for England, they're borderline minnow much like Portugal.
