The qualifiers kickoff again. I remember back in the day, I couldn’t wait. It brought us closer to another Mundial or a CA. But I don’t know, after winning so much, these qualifiers seem like appetizers rather than the entree. I had kinda forgotten that we actually play in 24 hours.

 

The fact that now 6-7 teams will qualify and we're sitting at the top, makes it feels even more like a formality. It feels weird that qualifier is only for eliminating 3 bottom teams.

Alvarez and Lautaro is interesting.

 

I think we'll struggle to create opportunities with this XI, hope I'm wrong.
Was hoping for Carboni/Dybala and Barco/Acuña in the team instead.

 

I have a hot take that might not be such a hot take.

But to have more creativity and more midfield, I would swap Nico Gonzalez for Lo Celso.
Gio never does well for clubs, but he is so vital when he plays for the NT.
