Of course there are tall argentinians, but for some reason the shortest are usually the ones with better skills in Argentina. Maybe that changes in the future, if I'm not wrong the U20 was a tall team for argentinian standards, I think Carboni is like 1,85
Feels like whether we win the Copa America or not will decide the future of Scaloni and Messi. Who knows if winning the Copa America will revert Di Maria's decision
It's not genetics. Most footballers in Argentina come from slums, poverty=malnourishment=stunted growth.
Like I said before, if that happens it would the first WC since 2006 where he could play without that "must win" preasure. He's already best player on the planet by 2009. I dont think Angelito will play, he probably thinking of giving chance for younger player aswell. We currently have a floods of great talents with the likes of Echeverri, Ruberto, Soule, Paz, Garnacho etc. The likes of Enzo, Mac & Julian are still young aswell.

With his club form, I cant see him being replaced by Scaloni at the moment. Its been the most productive season in his career so far.
He had about 14 goals and 5 assists a few years back with Betis. That's when he was at the top of his game. As a collective unit, the Enzo-Mac-RDP were amazing at Qatar. Yet, the one player that could directly connect with Leo was Gio. Probably not since JRR had Leo had that type of connection from the midfield. Banega had some moments here and there but I think the rise of Era of Scaloneta and his success had to do with finding somebody who could mesh with Messi. Just to note, I think Enzo would've still gone to Qatar if Gio was healthy but I think it worked out for all of us that Enzo became a permanent figure for the seleccion.
Gio was actually our top assister in 2022 qualifier with 5 assists, and he already bagged one so far to burried Brazil at their own turf. Yea I also believe if Gio wasnt injured, Enzo would still go to Qatar alongside him. Scaloni most likely will ommit Angel Correa since he's always been at bottom of his list.
I think there is a stat that shows that Messi had more completed passes with LoCelso than any other player on the team. So, he is at the very least a useful player to pair with Messi
An early Christmas present to myself. It arrived not too long ago. Adidas released the away 1994 jersey on the 1st right at midnight. I ordered it as soon as it dropped. After the order was placed, I went back a few minutes later and saw it has already sold out. But let me tell you, the quality on it is absolutely top notch. Adidas actually went out of their way to make it beautiful. I do wish they had Diego’s name on the back but that probably has to do with licensing and image rights. But nevertheless I am happy with it. I wish adidas put more thought into their kits nowadays. Now I’m just waiting for adidas to drop the jacket that came with it. I didn’t see it on the Adidas website.
We didn’t add stars on our kits until 2006(World cup kits but I believe we can began having stars in 05 or maybe 04, I think it was 04). 1994 1998 2002
A few info came for the Copa America 2024 and it looks like if we qualify for the Round of 16, we get to face a team that's in Mexico's group. Hoping that Uruguay and Colombia (from Pot B) and Chile and Paraguay (from Pot C) are not in Mexico's group. 2024 Copa América - Wikipedia
How Mexico and the US are seeded teams is an absolute joke. Uruguay would pound both teams into oblivion in the same night.
