  1. Feyenoord fans crowdfunded money to give him (El Bombastico) the opportunity to watch the club live for the first time in our epic stadium.

Ostertag woont in Pergamino, ruim 200 kilometer boven Buenos Aires.

I'm so glad for the guy, to finally after all those years to be able to see his club live. He will be given a hero's welcome by the fans and the players. You can count on that.

This Thursday would be Lautaro vs Dybala in Coppa Italia final, so there will be an Argentine winner at least.

Im ok with that as long his luck change for the NT, considering how unlucky he's been with Argentina in last 15 years.

I remember WC 2010 where he keeps hitting the post or shaving the post or the goalie went supersaiyan only when its Messi shots:D

So, AFA is going to appeal FIFA's decision, but for now it looks like the Brazil game will be replayed in September. Rumor is that the game might be played in the Middle East - this is such BS. At this point, who the hell wants to play this game? It's a completely a futile gesture with no consequence. Does Brazil want to play this game?

I am all for playing enough games prior to the WC in preparation, but we won't get much out of playing Brazil. This is a team we play against all the time and we both know each other enough. Much rather play a Poland type team, or any team that is unlike our CONMEBOL counterparts

Saw that Brazil wants to appeal the decision as well. Why does FIFA even wants to play in the Middle East other than $?

Agree with you that we should try to look at European teams if possible such as Iceland or Albania since Russia is suspended or even play Iran whose play style is similar to Saudi Arabia.

Nico Gonzalez was quite good today v Roma. He scored a penalty and was a menace. He never stops running, and will be a problem for many teams. If he starts, get probably gets replaced by ADM or vice versa. This was cause defenses to weaken over time. A nice weapon to have.

As for the nonsense Brasil game(s). I will continue to argue that we should send a second team. Especially, if one of the matches is being held in Saudi freakin Arabia. We are not dog and pony show for a bunch sheikhs.

Ehhh I mean we pretty much are at this point. They’ve made the real football world their own personal version of Football Manager.

But I agree, send a second team... hell, call up Pulga Rodriguez and em for this game for all I care.

Unfortunately Scaloni will probably respect the NT’s history and the rival and take a full strength squad though

Maybe its time to call back Rojo, Enzo Perez, S Romero , Palacio, Higuain just for this particular game... as their farewell match. Maybe Pipita will have some redemption:laugh:

Messi and Paredes are in Saudi right now. Jeddah especially treats our team extremely well - but the logistics don’t make any sense. We really shouldn’t be playing Brazil again. But Saudi September weather and conditions are going to be close to Qatar’s in November/December.

A little tid bit about Maradona and Di Maria -

Angel Di Maria: “Maradona was my second dad. He was everything to me. He supported me when they didn't. When they criticized me, he came to to cheer me, he kept putting me down. He came to my room every night to talk to me.”

Despite a lot of Diego’s well-known deficiencies, he had some great qualities as a person too.

What I found it interesting from Maradona is that if you look at his character/attitude when he was teenager, he's still the same exact person when he's 60. He still maintained the same childlike mannerism. Maybe he's from Neverland.

They're going to move Sterling and Jesus this summer. The problem is that ManCity also purchased Rafael Leao from Milan, who will play as a forward/hybrid type. With all the attacking options left (Grealish, Silva and Mahrez), along with Halaand and Leao, Julian will have a tough time fitting in. Wouldn't be surprise if Julian is the odd-man out and finds himself loaned out to a team like Real Betis or something similar. Don't think they will leave him at River, because they want him to get European experience.

So every now and then I check up on random players who have disappeared off the map, and in today’s edition of “Where in the World is Adolfo Gaich?” it turns out he’s having yet another abysmal season, this time with Huesca. 25 games, 1 goal + 2 assists in the Spanish second division.

    Dear lord...

Rigoni is another one who seems to have lost his way, although unlike Gaich he isn’t really getting a chance to prove himself (he’s a sub for Sao Paulo, seeing very limited minutes)

On an unrelated note, Lucas Boye is being linked to Sevilla as his loan with Elche is set to conclude next month.

Gaich, a worthy successor of Di Santo.

Speaking of Alvarez, hopefully he could push himself into starting line up at City, or else he'd be second Argentine being loaned out by the club after Dario who,'s currently at Girona.

On other notes, Pep did say he wouldnt ask the club to buy Julian if he's not going to play him, plus he's known for being a big fan of Bielsa & Gallardo.

Tbh, I fully expect Pep to try out Julian in the preseason and then end up loaning him to a Betis or Elche toward the end of the transfer window.

But it would be awesome if he stayed and got some minutes with City, even if he has to fight for a spot

Why?!??! Why would Argentina and Brazil play each other in preparation to the world cup? AND THAT'S WHAT 2022 IS, its preparation for the WC. A time when smart teams play against teams that play a way that we are not used to seen - I am pretty sure that Argentina and Brazil are fairly familiar with each other. I think Brazil would much rather play a Euro country or an African country that plays different than their CONMEBOL counterparts. That's what 2022 is for - not to play some BS game that neither wants
