Whoever the next coach is will have to figure a triangle of 3 up-front that complement eachother. Messi and a striker that can score and provide some playmaking help and a #9 that can shield defenders.

Di Maria is clearly a left midfielder at this point and will continue to grow in that role. I think whoever the players are they need to be guys that know how to use their bodies when dribbling and controlling the ball.what made guys like Riquelme, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and even Lopez so great was their ability to dribble and use their bodies doing so. Its sad to see that Banega and Messi are the only two that do that so well but Banega is just not serious about football.

Marseille and Tottenham are trying to sign him so we'll see if they can revive his career

Di Maria can easily switch to the right, like he did against Belgium.

Aguero always shielded the ball with his body, he used to score a goal the way Messi does, but he has been non existant in this tournament. Unlike Higuain, Aguero scores in big game and already scored against team like Barcelona, Real madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal, MU, Liverpool etc

He was injured 4 times last season when playing for City, and this year alone he has been subbed twice despite coming in as a sub. If you add his injury during the WC itself that means he has been injured 5 times in a year. It goes to show you that he's never fully recovered but off course nobody wanted to miss the WC so he always said that he's fit to play. Not to mention City once again has to fight till the end for the thropy, so he keep forcing himself to play.

Its better to fit less talented guy that fully fit, in this case Sabella made mistakes when he replaced Lavezzi who already cause the German a yellow. Pele in 1966 was forced to play under injury and they ended up losing 3-1 twice and bowed out at group stage.

Cristian Ansaldi joins Atletico Madrid from Zenit Saint Petersburg

Atletico Madrid have signed Argentinian left back Cristian Ansaldi, 27 for an initial £3.1m that could rise to £5.5m according to performances

Good move.. I'm sure he will be much more on the NT radar now.

Are you guys going to give Sabella a renewed contract, or is he going to be replaced?

I think if he wants to continue till the CA, it would be great. He has already built a solid defense, can keep it almost identical, with very few changes (MDM maybe) and then concentrate on the midfield and attack. If that clicks (well, it can only be better than what we have seen at WC), then we have a very competitive team for the CA.

This would give a little more time to great prospects like Cholo to take over. If not, other good coaches could prepare to be free by then.

This is going to be a hell of a CA. Chile at home, Chile have yet to fever win anything. Colombia is strong, with El Tigre baxk(assuming he will be healthy) and the James' profile shooting the through, Teo, Balanta, Bacca. They'd love to get revenge on Brasil if they play each other. Uruguay will likely be rebuilding, not sure if Suarez will be allowed to play, maybe suspension is reduced. Venezuela, will make a push, nearly made that 5th spot, Ecuador, maybe a bit unlucky at the mundial. Brasil will have a team that is likely be managed Dunga, get ready to have 35 plus fouls per game. No idea why they would hire him. We will be strong from the back, hopefully see some new attacking options. It's going to be a difficult CA, much more what that Mickey Mouse Euros are going to look. I mean seriously 24 teams?? That's nearly half the federation. What's the point of qualification?

The CA is going to be very good next year, a lot of strong teams. No need to bad mouth the euros, that is a quality competition, yes that has been diluted somewhat by expanding it to 24 team, as ever that is a decision based on money. But the tournament is going to feature 3 out of the last 4 world cup winners, hardly Mickey mouse.

What does 3 out of last 4 WC winners has something to do with next Euro? Its no like we're talking about 2006 Italy or 2008-2012 Spain?! Those 2 teams didnt even came out from group stage in this WC.

At present it was clear Colombia and Chile are stronger than those 2 teams. Even Uruguay beat Italy and England.

Germany will probably win their first Euro since 1996 and hopefully we will win our first Copa since 1993.

Oh ffs, do you take everything literally, do you understand nuance, sarcasm, making a point. Ok Chile and Colombia are strong anger than Spain and Italy, which also means Costa Rica are stronger that Chile and as strong as Colombia. And Holland are stronger than both, and France, Belgium are stronger than Chile, Germany are stronger than the lot of them because everything is based on what happened at the 2014 world cup and the rest of your football history is irrelevant. So Spain winning the world cup in 2010, and European championship in 2012, is irrelevant but Chile getting out of their group is relevant. Jesus wept. I give up.

Yea they signed James Rodriguez while Barca now has Argentina-Brazil-Uruguay upfront.

Some articles reported that Luis Enrique will handed Mascherano Barcelona captaincy. He will also deploy Masche in his true position as DMF.

Sabella has yet to decide.. I dont think he'll need this long to decide if he still has the fire.

Pastore's being linked to Atletico. Main issue seems to be what PSG would ask for (though I think they'll have to take a cut) and his salary.

I'd love to see him play under Cholo. He'll smack the lazyness out of him.
