Placente, Aimar, Samuel and Ayala to carry on after 2026. The u15 under Placente were also excellent.

    Nice work from Lopez. Clever.

Do you think placente is ready for the senior team, pekermen wasn't ready. Success at youth levels doesn't translate to senior teams.

That was not so bad as the side was pretty much already know and in form with no issues. Now it's a different situation with some of those players over the hill and replacements not being tested or really integrated.

Unfortunately it will be post Mundial we will see the big broom and the development of a new core based arund Romero, Alexis, Enzo & Julian when we kind of need a small broom now.

I think he is. Scaloni had very little track record as a manager but was part of the set up under Sampaoli. Placente knows the side inside out and all the age groups. He understands tactics and would be great at integrating the younger players.

That said we would then need to find a replacement for him for the age groups with an eye on them replacing Placente at some point in time ideally with a conveyor of in house management with a proven record.

Those countless chip passes to the box

Do we have anybody outside Messi and Julian who could strike it from distance? Paz seems to be good at it...

I honestly don't remember, was Montiel that fast?

If he is that fast, I would have him as our undisputed #1 RB

It's so wierd watching defenders close down on messi when he's about to take a shot in the MLS level and these central american teams

It's like in game AI trained enough to understand some of his shooting spots and angles

Hopefully he gets a hatrick next half

Those silly dancers probably burned more calories than our team.

    Moreno and Rivero warming up.

RDP reminds me of Masche 2018. Standing in center, making useless passes. He's not needed against team who's just bunkering the whole day.

We've been relying on too many return-passes. Messi understandably doesnt want to burn his energy in this kind of fixture

I like how Moreno is playing.

Agile, ambidextrous, has a good pass in him.

I can see why Scaloni chose him.

We would have lead 6-0 if the players decided to shoot more directly like that. Our team has this natural tendency to play cutesy little passes just for the sake of scoring a beauty.

Paz should have replaced RDP instead of playing on the wing. RDP still run his ass off but his creativity has dropped from 5/10 to 0/10.

Lautaro now levelled with Diego with 34 goals. Only 1 behind Crespo.

Would like a journalist to ask Scaloni what he learned from this game...
