Yeah this along with the CONCACAF Nations League before it a few months ago were meant to be tests of new procedures for handling the grass in stadiums that normally have artificial surfaces. Looks like all the extra measures are paying off.

Having zero goal contribution at knockout stage across 5 WC as an attacking player is wild. CR accomplished that nonetheless.

I mean, for all the talk that Messi never show up for Argentina back then... he was voted as best player in international tournament 6 times. CR? zero.

When both players were in their pomp and playing in La Liga RM won la liga twice, yes, 2 times over 9 seasons with peak Ronaldo.

To be fair though, Barca from 2009-2015 was something else.

Julian provided winning assist (after some crazy skills! ). Wait, I thought they're through but they;re still out. What an empty stadium that was.

The tournament uses GD first then it is head to head. I believe in the past it was the other way around.

The reason the stadium looked empty is because the Rose Bowl, the Granddaddy of them All, fits about 90k... The problem was the game was on a Monday afternoon.

No head to head is first, but since it was a 3 way tie, I believe Atleti lost out because the 2nd tiebreaker is goal difference in the matches between the teams in question. That 4-0 loss to PSG sunk them. The head to head between the teams in question was equal since they all won one and lost one.

Yeah, that makes sense. Kinda a round robin where each one defeat one another then it went to GD.

In WC 90 group stage, Argentina and Romania both finished with same points and same GD. I think Argentina ranked 3rd because Romania scored 1 more goal (despite conceiding more)?

Felix cumple al mejor de todos los tiempos.
Weird that Messi was born on the same date, 9 years later.

Ugh. I remember that when he returned after the U-20, Echeverri was injured and Pep couldn't integrate him into the team. Now this, man that sucks. Pep is set to speak about it before the game today. After the game Guardiola said that Echeverri had experience soreness during the game and that Echeverri was substituted.

Both Sevilla and Roma have their eyes on Tagliafico

Hope he goes to Roma to be with the Argentines and also Roma is looking to sell Angelino to be financially compliant. Would have been perfect with Paredes there.

Rumor has it that Cuti to Atletico could happen in the next week or two. I am not surprised Romero wants to play in Spain. I think Atletico is the perfect fit for him.

Madrid have until the end of the 30th to decide what they will do with Paz. They can buy him back for 8ME and loan him out again. Or they can let it roll into next season, which becomes 9ME. I do not think an extra million will make or break it. However, Inter have put him as a top priority to sign this summer. If they do not, they will focus on Valentin Carboni and give him a more important role on the team.

Clown ass Garnacho is trying his best to stay in the EPL and no EPL side is interested, shocked I know. Napoli were interested but he's made it clear he wants to stay in England. United want him out, and no team, at least in England are remotely interested. So, if he decides to stay with United, Manchester could send him to the reserves. He's apparently on a 300k per week salary, and again United are willing to sell him for cheap but there are no takers. Chelsea, Aston Villa and I believe Newcastle have basically said no thanks...

Dibu is also being linked to United and Chelsea. I think Chelsea would be a better move if we're being honest. But rumors are saying United have a lead and Chelsea are not a viable candidate.

    Good decision

Paz has a high chance to be in the WC26 squad with Dybala dropping out in the WC26 squad.
