On a side note, Perrone is rumored to be staying at Como, as they are going to pay between 25-30 million for his services. Not bad.

Here is Cesc talking about him.

I do hope he(Cesc) stays in Italy for another year, particularly that the likes of Paz and Perrone want to staying in Italy. He's been a good mentor for our youngsters. If he does end up leaving to Germany for the Leverkusen job, then I hope Paz goes to Inter and not back to Madrid. But nevertheless, Paz's father, Pablo, is pulling the strings behind the scenes and word on the street has been that he wants his son to be playing regularly.

No Pezzella (hopefully permanently) and Montiel (due to injury).

    Some Positives
    - Pezella being out is definitely a positive
    - Inclusion of Nico Dominguez and Barco who has had a great campaign

    Negatives
    - Soule, Dybala, Senesi, Maffeo being excluded. Honestly, I don't see Senesi ever being included again if this is the case.
    - Don't understand at all of the inclusion of established players going to the CWC like Messi, Lautaro and Alvarez

I don't know how many players will get cut off, but I assume it's 2 players.

Scaloni is going full retard. As noted above, what is the point of calling all of these players who are going to the CWC?

So much for the “experimenting with newer faces.” It is the perfect time to use young and hungry players.

Perhaps the only reason to call up Messi & Lautaro would be the fact that they missed out the latest qualifier round. Since international fixtures is so far in between , maybe Scaloni doesnt want them to lose their rhythm in the NT. I think they'll not be playing full mins or being a sub.

We've seen the team played without them againts Uruguay & Brazil, and the younger guys like Giu & Almada delivered & we did more than just fine.

I like the fact that Cholo gathers up our NT squad in one team, but he's simply out of date at this point much like Mou. There's rumor Inter is interested on RDP, which I think is a good thing.

There’s rumors that they’re willing to listen to offers for Molina, De Paul, and Correa (well, the last one is a given he’ll leave; the other two are pending acceptable offers, but they consider them transferable)

A bit surprising that RDP would leave Atletico. But Inter would be a good landing spot for him. Correa leaving for Mexico is a bit odd but I guess being in Spain for 10 years was enough. I’m sure the Atletico fans will give him a nice send-off. Always did his job and scored important goals. No small task playing over 400 matches for a single club. I’ve always liked him but I would not call him to another Mundial. I hope Scaloni’s candy ass does not get all superstitious and decides to call him up in 26 for those reasons…

Not sure if it’s true, but rumors are going around that Xabi Alonso wants to take Exequiel Palacios with him to RM

It would be full circle after Palacios’s botched transfer to Real back in 2018

Almada being linked to Atletico Madrid, who are trying to take advantage of Lyon’s poor financial situation to seal the deal

Weird that this happened when a writer for the Athletic just came out said that he was a LOOOOONG ways away from featuring the first team. No idea where they got that info.

EDIT- Just to add, people are still saying he's doing well in training. I do not think Pep would give him time if he was not playing well. I looked at his highlights from today and he'll get there. He did not show any fear nor was he timid. I'm glad that Pep has given him an opportunity. Perhaps in the summer, he'll have more time to build up his confidence.

I feel he’ll get more minutes in the CWC and from there they’ll decide what to do with him next season

Just browsing around the net, I see that City fans and supporters were happy with him. They are not harping on the missed chance.

Nevertheless, a big part of me wants him to stay at City and just earn his spot but another wants me to see him play week in and week out. If he gets to play 20-30 minutes every game or so as a sub for City, I would be happy with that. I want him to get comfortable in England. But kinda exciting to see him already playing in England.

I also think Pep will let him go to the Sub 20s.

Atletico should really consider getting Tagliafico, who is a free agent this summer, as well seeing how poor their LB situation is.

The same source says it the date of 3/26 - 3/31 will only work if Spain qualifies to the WC by Nov. 2025.

Since Argentina won't know the WC opponents by Dec. 2025 anyways, it's best to face teams like Japan that likes to play possession football during Oct. - Nov. friendlies.

Speaking of possession, Croatia relied heavily on possession . They had 60% possession against us and sligthly more possession than Brazil but Scaloni's team had no problem dealing with it.

Man... just cancel this nonsense. We should not have to wait for them for anything. "They have this game to play, have that game to play, they need to qualify by this and that..." They have been dancing around this since last year.

If we're going to play them, let's play them during the Mundial.

True, we basically outnumbered their midfield and we'll probably do the same tactics again. I could see a midfield of RDP-Enzo-MacA-Lo Celso against them.

Only difference is that Spain has that X factor in attack in Yamal.

Honestly, at this point, I agree. UEFA and Conmebol should have seen this coming. The schedule for the UEFA nations league was all there to point where I could see plot hole once both Argentina and Spain were the reigning champion in their respective continents.

If they want to keep the Finalissima in the upcoming years, UEFA really needs to reduce the games for the Euro champions.
