Julian will be tasked to stay wide and MacAllister would take the left halfspace. They can switch position by moving into each other's position. When attacking --------------------Martinez Julian-------MacA--------Messi----------Molina ---------------Enzo---------RDP ----------Lisandro---Balerdi-----Romero I want to think of it as similar to the left side of the Barca 2011 team with David Villa stayed wide while Abidal tucked in. I'm guessing that Tagliafico will play at LB though.
No player in Serie A has created more chances that lead to a shot than Nico Paz: 𝟔𝟎 💫#SerieA pic.twitter.com/Y4lnj3glDE— Serie A U25 ⭐️ (@SerieAstatss) November 11, 2024
Sad to see a player injured, but let's go!
Interesting comparison. Haven't seen much of Nico Paz but he seems to be better in tight spaces than Kaka. How similar is Paz to Pastore?
The Pastore at Globo and Palermo was a really special player. I think most of us were hyped about him. I think Paz is a bit more dynamic(In terms of dynamism, I mean speed and won't really be bullied off the ball) whereas Flaco was a bit more elegant in his game. Where I think Paz might be better is his passing game. He could make the long pass where it can help launch a counterattack out and he can see the right pass. I have mentioned this many times but Pastore was one of our great letdowns. I have always said, I do not think his heart was in the game. He went for the big dollars at PSG and that was that. He could've gone to Juventus but PSG offered Palermo a bit more money and that was that. Every now and then he showed his flashes of magic but nothing that he could sustain for an entire season. Let's just hope Paz has a better career. And here is actually an article that discusses his game. It kinda talks what I have already mentioned. But still worth a read. https://breakingthelines.com/player...rid-to-como-a-midfield-maestro-in-the-making/ With him coming into his own and Mastantuono who appears to be growing as well, we will be in good hands.
Pastore never quite lived up to his potential, still had a great career but never became the superstar that he seemed destined to become. Comparing Paz to Kaka at this stage is a bit silly really, Kaka was a great player in his prime, Paz has potential but has a long way to go before he can be placed in the same category as Kaka. To be honest, if he turns into the next Fabregas that is fine with me.
Happy that Medina is called up, but does Scaloni hate Senesi or something? 🚨 JUST IN: Facundo Medina has been called up to replace injured German Pezzela. @HernanSCastillo 🇦🇷👥 pic.twitter.com/AERP4lRWuN— All About Argentina 🛎🇦🇷 (@AlbicelesteTalk) November 12, 2024
The comparison is based on his style of play. Licha is not injured as well. I do not understand Scaloni's logic here. As you mentioned, I wonder if there is some internal issues that we are not privy about.
This will probably be the XI that Scaloni will line up, but hoping to see these subs. —-----------Martinez—-Messi Alvarez—---MacA—--Enzo—----RDP Tagliafico---Otamendi---Romero—Molina -------------------Dibu Sub in Castellanos, Garnacho, Paredes, Medina, Balerdi
I dont like that Scaloni keeps saying publicly how he almost quit the NT. Its almost like subtle way to say "I cant wait to manage a big club". Lets say we suddenly hit a slump period and he could use that "lack of energy" as an arguement.
I don’t know… I may be wrong, but Scaloni doesn’t strike me as the type of guy who would care much about managing a big club. If anything I think him leaving the door open to an exit had more to do with not wanting to stain his legacy (or rather leaving on a fairytale ending), as well as differences with AFA/Tapia’s board management. Maybe one day he’ll coach a big team, but I highly doubt he’s waiting for a Real Madrid to call him. I actually think he’ll probably take a break once he leaves his Argentina role, manage a mid-level/second tier European team or two, and then coach a team in Argentina’s Primera Division in the long run.
No I see your comments on mundo albiceleste sometimes. You call yourself "The rattler 2.0 quick draw hustla"
Looks like he is. Back injury. So he won't be coming. This time I think it's genuine unlike Paulo and his phantom injuries. Please call up Senesi. It's really bizarre he's not there. Or maybe just bring in Anselmino with dispensation for Boca.
It was a typo. * Licha goes out and fights for us. I wouldn’t question his willingness to play for us.
Just for this, Medina should be considered highly in being selected Lionel Scaloni: "Facundo Medina booked his own ticket because of how eager he was to join us. That’s something to value, and for us, it’s fantastic. He handled everything himself. He spoke to his coach, booked the ticket, and arrived this morning. It’s a message for his… pic.twitter.com/HQb3mJPXR8— All About Argentina 🛎🇦🇷 (@AlbicelesteTalk) November 13, 2024
I was about to come and post this. I think Scaloni loves players who are always willing to give their all for the team. Players who are willing to go above and beyond. Medina will surely be on the cusps of making it to the team from now on. I think this is why Dybala will continue to get rebuffed. He does not seem like that player that is willing to sacrifice himself for the team. I know he made a big fuss that he fought very hard to make the World Cup side, spending 12 hours+ a day trying to recover. But that's the World Cup, of course he would. But these games where all the players have to travel and he continues to get "injuries" before qualifiers is what rubs everybody the wrong way. After a while, you just tell yourself, "I'm over it. And I will not deal with it anymore."
I kinda forgot that we had a qualifier tomorrow. I’ve mentioned this before but way back in the day, I seriously could not wait for the seleccion to play. It was like some treat. Not like those alfajores, which nearly cost us the Mundial in 22. I think what I kinda miss is playing friendlies v some European rivals. Since the Nations League has come into play we hardly ever square up with the European teams. Now, when we do play them, the games are high risk. But anyways, we should after two Ws. Six points and just qualify. Playing in Asunción is always a bit tricky for us and you know Paraguay want a result since they are on teetering on qualifying. Maybe Scaloni can finally begin experimenting v Peru because our next two qualifiers after this is v Uruguay and Brasil.
