As I mentioned before, results goes our way most of the time. We just the won CA again and sitting at the top of qualifier hence he will continue to have this false sense of security heading up to next WC. Lucky enough Cuti, Licha & Dibu stays fit the whole tournament. Imagine the games againts Ecuador & Colombia with Pezzella-Otamendi starting.

All things considering, Julian leaving manchester city now doesn't look as bad as it did.
They have lost 4 straight, and Julian was player of the month for A. Madrid.

But I do wonder if Scaloni is keeping an eye on him.

Although, it is always funny seeing some of our misfits end up ripping it up in Brasil.

There are several Argentines excelling in Brazil. Over the last few years the midfield leaders have been Argentine which means one Brazil isn't producing midfield generals. True. And also that the standard of the Brazilian Championship is not as high as it was despite obviously excelling in the Libertadores where Argentine players have made crucial contributions for them.

It's sad he met Wanda. He had all the ability to be a top class international & would have been a great choice for the seleccion in 2018 versus Higuain. It will always be one of those what if's.

Sure but even then, Sampa had Dybala on the bench, he fielded this guy instead when we needed a winning goal.

The defending for Atlanta's 3rd goal was what you'd expect to see from a bunch of 8 year olds, Inter players literally stopped playing, even kids are taught to play to the whistle.

I literally mentioned few weeks back how Miami players will never chase a pass to get to the ball quicker when needed. They'd just stand on the spot and wait till the ball arrive at their feet.

Imagine playing like that againts strong European side in Club world cup.

Messi not winning another title at this point of his career isnt something I'd worry about. He has won 8 trophies & 2 Ballon D'or since leaving Barca.

The quality of defending is appalling, the defenders barely move, they'd get slaughtered by any half decent European team.

    Golazo!

If he's going to establish himself as a LW, he needs to work on his curlers.

Incredible speed and hustle from Simeone. Very unselfish for his pass to Alvarez.

Maybe there is hope for him.

Garnacho apparently did not celebrate his goal because he had his feeling hurt by some of the fans. Oh, brother...

Garnacho is hot and cold, he'll score some outstanding goals but will miss some sitters. There is talent BUT he needs to improve on many aspects of the game. It is been pointed out many times by us.

Garnacho has plenty of growing up to do & learn to temper his ego. His minor tantrum is because some fan or fans confronted him about the areas he needs to improve upon. Which is purely constructive criticism. Something he'll need to take on board rather than thinking he can just magically overcome those issues.

Decent first half from Facundo but faded in the second. His physique is an issue but he did have a glorious pass in the first half that should have resulted in a goal. Really he's quickly become the focal point for Leicester's attacks but he was smothered most of the match with little support & thus struggled. Set pieces were hit & miss and he needs to work on those.

Rumours Tottenham are interested in him although why they would need him beats me. I sincerely hope they don't regard him as some sort of wing midfielder. He isn't.

Enzo also has a decent showing too when brought on. I hope he bucks his ideas up. Rumour is he is looking to leave the club though next summer. I expect there may be some coldness in the dressing room still also from some players.

Bad game from Varela vs Benfica. Maybe Scaloni was right all along.

    Di Maria scored 2.

This guy used to have that trait and he trade all his skills for running.

ADM scored twice, his penalty was won by Otamendi lol

Honestly, Garnacho could be the poster boy for the entitled, spoilt brat, having a hissy fit modern footballer. Grow up.

With Nico G. out, I would go with the front 3 of Alvarez, Lautaro and Messi again vs Paraguay to see how that goes.

If the plan is to have Lisandro as a LB going forward to the WC, I would test him there as much as I can. The dream would be to have Balerdi starting at LCB, but I'm pretty sure it'll be Otamendi starting.

    —-----------Martinez—-Messi
    Alvarez—---MacA—--Enzo—----RDP
    Lisandro—-Balerdi---Romero—Molina
    -----------------------Dibu

Sub in Castellanos, Paredes, Lo Celso, Palacios, Garnacho

Left side completely useless in that team with a non-attacking LB and a false-winger (Alvarez) that will drift to the center 80% of the time.
