Simeone seems like an untouchable figure at Atletico , even though he's been out of idea in last few years. That's a bad thing since some key players on our NT are playing for him. I'm sure somehow he'll sign another young Argentina talent in future.... Their only realchance was Julian powershot from distance but the GK made a good save.
Congrars to Dibu. 1 x WC golden glove winner 2 x CA golden glove winners 1 x FIFA best goalkeeper award 2 x Yashin trophies
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DIEGO 🐐 https://t.co/XmULMeUio7— All About Argentina 🛎🇦🇷 (@AlbicelesteTalk) October 30, 2024
Paredes will probably leave in the Jan. Transfer Window. Soule should also consider leaving as well AS Roma as well as he's not getting any starts at all.
In the last two days Lautaro 1g1a Garnacho 1g1a Dybala 1g Veliz 3g Castellanos 2g Julian Alvarez 2g Enzo 3rd scandal Almada 1g to the libertadores final All in 2 days. Looks like our players are back in form
I like Julian's penalty. He always puts power behind it, the goalie always failed to stop it despite jumping to the right direction. He only missed 1 in his career I think, and scored about 10 (shootout includes)
Lol yea, and appearently there's legend category in which the likes of Diego and Stefano has won it even though the award itself started in 2000s Puskas award is another which doesnt have Messi in their history and Messi emulated goal of century just a year before the award was created
Senesi had a great game vs Man City. He's one of the best CBs in the Premier League. He shouldn't just be in the national team, he should be starting alongside Romero.
If I were Scaloni, this would be my squad for Nov. GK: Dibu, Musso, Rulli RB: Molina, Maffeo CB: Romero, L. Martinez, Senesi, Balerdi, Otamendi LB: Tagli, Soler RM: De Paul, Palacios DM: Enzo, Paredes, Varela CM: MacAllister, Nico Dominguez RW: Messi, Dybala FW: Alvarez, Martinez, Castellanos LW: Garnacho, Thiago Almada - Montiel hasn't been getting any games at all and Maffeo has. High time Maffeo gets called up - Senesi should be a no brainer at this point. Otamendi just there for the vibes but it's time to stop calling up Pezzella - Barco hasn't been getting any game time at all, so would have Soler there - Both Nico Dominguez and Nottingham Forest has been flying and Forest are 3rd in the Premier League as of right now. A good all-rounder. Lo Celso is injured right now. - Time to call up Varela - Castellanos has been great so far and is the 3rd top scorer in Serie A. - With Nico Gonzalez injured, high time Garnacho gets more game time.
Argentina vs. Peru to be played at La Bombonera. https://t.co/zAczx930aA pic.twitter.com/vJoDvjT524— Roy Nemer (@RoyNemer) November 3, 2024 Not again.. Man they gotta end the mufa there sometime I guess.
Watching Atletico today and some interesting tactics. Molina has been deployed as a RCB in a back 3 rather than a RWB and he's had the best game for Atletico this season. I wonder after WC26 if he will be converted as a RCB like a Kyle Walker. Would be good for development for the national team as that would give license for the likes of Barco and Soler to attack more on the left. Giuliano Simeone has been deployed as a RWB and scored a goal from a Molina assist. He still has not convinced me yet (hoping the Olympic showing was more due to Mascherano's doing), but I have a feeling that Simeone will be called up by Scaloni as he fits the Scaloni's profile and he will probably want to maximize the Argentine connection at Atletico Madrid. Plus he is versatile and can play both right and left wing.
After watching Redondo play for several months. This guy is in his early 20's, learning amongst the best players and this is the level he's at is in the MLS. This guy will never be on the National Team with these performances. He was jogging at the end of the goal that Atlanta scored. He's too slow. He has some great abilities, but they just aren't good enough. He looks slower than Suarez at times. Can't believe Aviles was considered once for the National team, this guy is getting embarrassed by MLS midfielders and attackers constantly. Tata really decided to pick the worst of Argentine trash to help messi
Yeah, he's too slow for top level football I'm afraid. I guess that's why he took the MLS offer without much of a thought, must be concious of his limitations. It's curious that his dad was way faster than him despite football being slower in the 90s.
