1845864936565600288 is not a valid tweet id This video is pretty spectacular, because it does not include any of Messi’s goals and assists from the ‘22 World Cup, just his regular plays. It really was a World Cup for the ages from him.
I would celebrate his return to the form that we had hoped. Enzo's game against Mexico was a revelation and his Young Player of the WC was well earned. However, we can't say that he has maintained his ascendance. We can blame the situations or Chelsea, but he needs to be better. But if this is who he is, then what is he? a box-to-box midfielder that can do what Mac Allister does, but a sh##tter version? I was bullish on this kid at first.
Julian from 2022 would have scored that chance he had earlier like against Poland. 110th goals for Messi. Good that he put power behind that shot.
Perfect finish. Hope this lifts the team. They look sluggish. That said Romero just adds the extra to this team. Not just defensively but with his passing from the back. Can't wait for Otamendi (a disgrace he is picked again) to disappear & the likes of Balerdi or Anselmino who also know how to pass come in. Scaloni needs a rocket. His selections beggar belief.
They talk about this player & that player. But the truth is we will not see his like again for another generation & hopefully from Argentina although I have very high hopes of young Franco & Parmo.
Messi dead ball delivery is getting better & better. A really useful weapon to have. There is no doubt he will be around for 2026 injuries permitting.
We will never see the like of Messi again, to me it's staggering that one nation produced Diego and Messi.
Messi have read this thread , we talked about his lack of acceleration and took it personally. Last time we criticized Lautaro, Lo Celso and Paredes, it worked great aswell.
RDP has apparently been reading @SupaMario ’s posts about his misplaced passes and wants to prove him right. Oof
RDP makes too many casual mistakes for my liking. Seems to have become more & more sloppy since the WC. Would love to see Palacios given a decent amount of time ie a whole half after the interval.
Too much faffing on the ball. Taking the extra pass, taking the extra seconds to switch the direction of play. I think complacency is creeping in.
I dont like it when our forwards or midfielders already gets close to the goal, has the gap to shoot they decided to make another extra passes. We saw Enzo did this in previous game.
