Wow guys ... once again in the dying moments of the game, as against Colombia, Argentina beats Brazil 2-1 and now awaits for the winner of Morocco-Nigeria.

Unreal the balls these kids have put thru out the tourny ... Torres, Zabaleta, Messi ...

He is in the Barcelona squad ... 150 million Euros if someone wants him.

He is only 18 (turned 18 3 days ago) ... which means he will still play in the next YWC ... and apparently will be taken to Germany for WC06 to start getting him involved with the Senior team.

In this YWC he has performed so much more than at the Sudamericano ... it seem as if his team mates now believe in his ability. He is awesome.

Did anybody watch the match? I heard it was 1-1 and Brazil was pressing, but thankfully we pulled it off again thanks to Messi.

How did Gago do? I think he's also a great prospect.

Acoording to the commentators at La Red, the only way Brazil was felt dangerous thru out the game was in crosses due to their height.

After the 1-1, Argentina was closer to get to the 2-1 ... pressing the Brazilian team.

Gago was replaced in the 93rd minute, after the 2-1.

Will watch it tonite on Galavision, 7 pm EST.

Lionel Messi ha firmado este martes su acuerdo de renovación con el FC Barcelona hasta el año 2010. El nuevo contrato fija una cláusula de rescisión de 150 millones de euros.

Messi is quite a little genious. His goal was amazing and the cross to set up the final goal was solid as well...he probably could have gone down for a penalty but kept his balance, got around the defence and made it happen. The guy doesn't look like he would be that great, but he seems to have tremendous control and pace.

Argentina looked the better of the two sides after Brazil's equalizer, they deserved the win.

I concur. Although Brazil worked like donkeys and got almost 65% of possession, the had no idea what to do with the ball once they got to the box. I have never seen a Brazil team so out of ideas.
Argentina on the other had were tactically solid. The fewer times the got the ball they looked dangerous. The difference was coaching not player technical ability.

It was nice to win the sub-20, but I just hope that one of this days all this youth success can translate into kicking the crap out of Brazil at the world cup and winning the title. Is that too much to ask?

TIGRES? Y PACHUCA AHORA???? DONDE ESTAN LAS CAMISAS QUE ESTABAN POR TODOS LADOS HACE UN MES?

Y SIEMPRE SE DA LA LOGICA.. NUNCA CANSA GRITAR...

    ARGENTINA CAMPEON!

    Congrats A.S.F.

But, don't lose hope. Sorin for example was one of the guys from an earlier edition of this tournament who also won it all and went on to greater things with your main national team.

Kicking the crap out of us at the World Cup? Ah, that's a little TOO MUCH to ask - or to hope for? :D just kidding

    Yes, godamnit!

Now, I suppose if someone else eliminates us you might have a chance.

    ;)

Seriously though, congratulations on the title and on the team and talent (not just Messi) you have in this generation. Ours was just average and it's likely few of these will translate to national team stars with guys like Kaka and Diego only 3 years or less older than them.

I love Lionel Messi to death, and he clearly overshadowed the rest of the team in terms of personal performance, but what about the other squad members? Could any of them make it onto the NT in the future?

Barroso, for instance, is a very intelligent right wing defender, small but still able to win balls in the air (he scored that impressive last-minute volley against Columbia). I could see him playing a Zanetti-like role if he continues to mature.
