All I know is that Vizuete has alternate players to play against Argentina and Colombia, not the whole team, but key players... for example, I know Benitez will be reserved for Colombia.

With Argentina, we have to have a more than excellent defense and solid physical maneuvering and game play. After watching Argentina take a massive dump on Mexico (again) I say this is a very very tough opponent and we have to fight it to the teeth if we want t favorable result ..

p.s. Can some one post the two different teams against Arg and Col ?? thanks.

    Unidos contra Argentina

    Junio 07, 2008

    QUITO

We need to use an offensive scheme against the Argies.
Vizuette must start Guerron,Valencia & Tenorio
I like the idea of Guerron playing as a carillero...
this opens up spaces in the middle because there
are usually 3 to 4 defenders on him...

    Cevallos
    Bam Bam, Shadow, Ambrossi
    Castillo, Mendez
    Valencia, W. Ayovi, Guerron
    Tenorio, Caicedo

Sixto Vizuete should use a more defensive scheme

With three in the back it would look like:

    Cevallos
UDLC Shadow I. Mina (or J. Campos)
    A. Valencia, P. Urrutia, E. Mendez, Castillo, P. Ambrossi
    C. Tenorio

    With Four in the back:

    Cevallos
    UDLC ( or J. Campos), I. Hurtado, Shadow, I Mina ( or P.Ambrossi)
    A. Valencia, P. Urrutia, Castillo, E Mendez
    C. Tenorio, J. Guerron ( or C. Benitez)

    Cevallos

Omar De Jesus,Bam Bam, Sombra, Ambrossi

Valencia, Mendez, Castillo, W Ayovi (Urutia)

    Guerron, Caicedo

Wathcing Guerron play, I noticed how he had the power, speed and Strength to take care of the right side. He pushes forward like no other player in Ecuador. UDLC use to do that but had trouble with assistance. Most of the time, the other players could not keep up with Guerron which is why Bolanos was his perfect partner. Bolanos had the speed, the height and a great head accuracy. To have a player equal or more to Bolanos I would have to pick F Caicedo. He is the only one that can keep the speed consistency and will be perfectly paired with Guerron.

I understand that depending on the right alone is not a good thing. A good team should have the right covered as well but this set up produeces two things.

Firstlet’;s talk about the right side. Guerron has proved how amazing he has that side so lets give it to him. He proved worthy to take over th job for the NT. Now who could assist him on the right side. Well,…the way I see it, we got a good selection. Let’s start with Omar DeJesus. To me, this guy reminded of DLC. He definitely pushes forward and has excellent crosses but most importantly, he has the speed.

Second, Valencia as we all know owns that section as well. I do not need to go into detail what we already know about him. In Valencia, we trust.

Finally Guerron. With these Three at the right, we have the section more than secure. Defensive and offensive it is flawless.

With this line up, we have the left covered as well. W Ayovi seemed to step up to the plate. He is aggressive and fast. He will cause trouble as well as we all know that the right will be distracted by Guerron. If the ARgie coach has been following the Copa Libertadores, He would understand that Guerron will cause more than trouble. I could pretty much speculate that Guerron will have three defenders on him leaving the left open for the other elite players like Caicedo, Ayovi, Castillo and last but surely not least, Mi Edison Mendez.

The best defense is a good offense and so the saying goes. We got the big bang theory on our side. Our offense is going to be so deadly that our Defense is going to have a nice vacation but Bam Bam is too wise and cautious to take a leave of absence. You better believe that he will dictate the way the game should go and it should go in our favor.

Remember this line up ladies and gentlemen.

    Cevallos

Omar De Jesus,Bam Bam, Sombra, Ambrossi

Valencia, Mendez, Castillo, W Ayovi (Urutia)

    Guerron, Caicedo

No disrespect Loraz but do you realize we are playing against Argentina In Buenos Aires. They will be playing with all there internationals (except for Tevez). Guerron is a good player who still needs to improve to become a great player, to start him in Argentina would be a risk please remember that in the Libertadoras he was going up against club team defenders not defenders from the Argentina national team one of there defenders sgould neutralize him and let's say we do play as you say going foward with Guerron, Valencia Caicedo and Ayovi who will take care of Messi( now he really needs to be tripeled team), Requlme,J Cruz the kid from Atletico Madrid the Zentei I'm sorry my friend they are stacked and as you say "The best defense is a good offense" I'm all for counter attack second half the game is tied and Argies are getting tired we sub Guerron and Bollaneos & hopefully come out of Argentina with a win.

I, Mina is the scrub(I hate players from Dept. Chiquito) that scored two goals against our Liga subs I guess he is one of Sixto's favorite players cause he always calls him to the national team and if truth be told the guy is having a good Ecuadorian Campeonato.

There is a saying, "Strike While The Iron Is Hot!"

Guerron is so hot right now. He has has a crash course of non stop action. We sent home four Argentinian Teams. Guerron has the footwork, skill, speed and stamina to Play Against Argentina. His best work came when Under pressure.

I repeat, his best work was when under pressure.

ARe YOU kidding? We will be doing our NT a Disfavor if we do not start him.

Risks are what the game are all about but in Guerron's case, there is absolutely no risk. You know he will produce.

    Boogie Down BRONX!
I asked this question a long azz time ago the man is NOT tri material.
Gabriel Achilier was proving himself,,,,,,Vizuete is staring to miss up.
Any how lets see what happens.
And Loraz why are insisting on Guerron to be a starter,,,I'm telling you the man would be better coming out the bench, and further more like I said aun le falta mucho al man.

I insist because he produced. The man not only psuhed foward with great speed but went back to defend. He is a great defender as well. Guerrron take initiative. For a 23 old, this man is wise. I strongly feel that he is the perfect candidate for that spot. I mean look at what we have. Mina?!!!

Guerron is ready I see this from a mile away. He has had the only workout more than any player in our NT. HE is the perfect choice. The top team in Ecuador who reached the finals because of his crosses, and we are picking players of lesser caliber? Cmon, the math is simple com padres.

IN this season I meant to say. Guerron has had the only work out in this season. The man is Zen. You know he practices his skills. You know that he is constantly looking to improve to become the best in the world. You don't think he learned many things from this experience? Before Gurerron Forgets what is still fresh in his mind, get him to start on the NT NOW.

Strike While the Iron is Hot.

LA FORMACIÓN TITULAR DE LA TRI
    | Fecha : 2008-06-09 16:09:55 |

The line up somewhat makes sense, expect Guerron to play more defensive than anything, I'm assuming Vizuete is going to take advantage of Guerron's speed to be on Messi all the time, regarding Espinoza and Benitez I'm sure they are going to play against colombia along with Ambrossi and De Jesus, my only concern is Ivan Hurtado I really don't think he is anywhere near his best, Jairo Campos has a chance against Kun Auguero, so that leaves Mina and Ivan to take care of Cruz or Cavenaggi, our main concern should be Castillo vs Riquelme match up, however I am wondering if Argentina will hold something back due to their game against Brazil, regarding our offense Its sad to say but all our hopes are Ayovi's and Mendes' long shots and Valencias high balls to Carlos Tenorio.

barcelonista1981 I agree with you on the Castillo vs Riquelme matchup and how important it's going to be for Castillo not to foul him anywere near the 1 b/c de tiro libre eso es medio Gol. Regarding the holding back i think Argentina is going to try to finish this game in the first half they are going to come at us hard they hope to be up three goals and then for the second half bring in subs and just control the ball that is why it's important that we go into halftime tied. I have no problem w/ a backline of:
    J.Campos, I Hurtado, La Sombra, I Mina
Four defenders that will not get pushed around and can really be a tall wall in front of Cevallos. In this game we are not looking for our defenders to push up offensively.
The Mid-field to me can go anyway just as long as E. Mendez, A. Valencia & Castillio are included

Forwards Loraz your right Guerron is playing lights out and he should be part of the starting 11.

From the other thread - I don't want to say I told you so, but...I told you so.

The only difference from Vizuete's lineup is Ayovi instead of Urrutia (Espinoza will replace Castro when he returns from Brasil). It appears that Vizuete is looking at Ayovi as another attacking option. Overall this is a pretty offensive lineup if you consider that ALL of the midfielders are good offensively and can score goals.

Congrats man, here is a cookie! LOL, Just kidding man!
    I haven't post here for a while.
I really like that line up and it makes total sense to me!
You can have Guerron and Ayovi pusing forward in each band with Valencia and Mendez helping them and Castillo playing right in the middle!
I like this Midfield, since all the players are tecnical and strong deffenders as well!
