Arena should no longer coach the USMNT. A lucky 1-1 draw with Haiti is grounds for immediate removal!!!

We were lucky to draw Haiti, but we managed a draw. In a meaningless friendly.

Costa Rica LOST TO BARBADOS, IN A WORLD CUP QUALIFIER.

Costa Rica didn't fire their coach. Under the same coach, they won the CONCACAF Hex running away, and had a great showing at the World Cup in which they lost out on goal difference in a group that had two eventual semifinalists.

    Not time to panic yet.

Uhmmm......Sit down for a minute and reconsider your statement ....ok now, lets go back to Korea 2002 ...I still can't figure it out how he did it but he whoop Mexico, Portugal, and Germany ( in my opinion the referee help the Germans...two offsides and a penalty) and I repeat, I still can't figure out Bruce Arena, perhaps he abuse sicological warfare to the extreme, with this kind of results he get into my nerves, or perhaps Korea was just a lucky punch....Dawg Bruce just go out and whoop some butties do not torture me.....

Brooklyn United should no longer be allowed to post on bigsoccer!!! Just two posts, both of them bordering on retarded!!! That should be grounds for immediate removal!!! And don't say I'm over-reacting. You watch. His third won't be any better!!!

I totally agree with Brooklyn United, Arena should step out or be fired. The USAMNT's been doing terrible lately and there is only one person to blame, Bruce Arena. ARena, stop the joke and stop inventing with our players or shut up forever

First show me evidence that Cruyff is available.

In fact, I want evidence that there's a better coach than Arena who's both available and willing to coach the USMNT.

I'd be the best USMNT coach ever! I don't have the foggiest idea of where to start, but damnit I will lead us out of the first round in '06!

I can be creative! "Ok guys, just uhm...GO OUT AND PLAY! Try and score some goals or whatever."
I can be entertaining! "And it seems the US Coach is doing the chicken dance to celebrate the equalizer.."
I can win! Note: winning is only guaranteed if all matches are played using Winning Eleven 7 on the Playstation 2

    So...when do I get the job? :D

That's right, forget the World Cup succes, because they haven't been outstanding in international friendlies, we should get rid of him. That's some of the worst reasoning ever.

So your content with being outplayed in every game and turning up crappy results against crappy teams we are more than capable of beating? Not to mention putting players like Kirovski out on the field who have no business of being there. Don't tell me Bruce is trying out new players because I have yet to see certain players with great potential given any, if at all, a shot. The World Cup run was great, but I just don't see any progression since.

Again, the Costa Ricans are probably glad they DIDN'T fire Guimaraes after he LOST to BARBADOS in a WORLD CUP QUALIFIER.

If someone was making the arguement that we should fire Bruce Arena purely because he is playing the Wolymonster I might agree.

If someone is making the arguement that we should fire Bruce Arena because we tied a meaningless scrimmage in which we used players that hadn't played a game in 15 months, were out of season, or in experimental roles (see Albright, Chris) then you have to wonder what they are smoking. And I'll go further and say that with no coach at all we should have won that game, but the players sucked. Bruce can't get out on the field and play 11 positions for us, but he can give guys like Ralston, Albright, and Woly a chance to show that they can play in qualifiers. I would start firing the players long before the coach.

Juan wants the coaching change so Mexico has a better chance to beat the United States if America.

    New rule:

Anybody who starts screaming, "FIRE BRUCE" should have to add the following:

    "...and replace him with ____________"

Oh, and it needs to be someone a bit more available than Wagner or Sir Alex, thank you very much...

I remember a lot of posts like this when we were in jeopardy of making the final round of WC qualifying...we had to beat Barbados. I also saw them when we were not fairing well with our road games in the final round.

Look folks, we ended up in the quarters of the quarters of the WC. I'm not saying that there shouldn't be some concern. We all want our Nats to improve. However, with funky MLS schedules, the lack of availability with our European-based players, etc, make it very difficult to put a great team together all the time.

I would be surprised if by May, we aren't a much better squad. MLS will have started and the Guys in Europe wil just be ending their season and still be in top form.

Americans are also notorious for saving the best for when it counts. Frustrating as that may be, it's the truth.

We should have beaten Haiti, but fire the coach for tying in a meaningless friendly? As long as we qualify for the WC, I don't care if we lose all the friendlies on the schedule. I admit that would not be as much fun, but who cares. As long as we win as many of the games that mean something that we need to so we can advance.

    "Arena should be fired" up.

Nothing like a loss (draw) to stoke the motivation to win.

Yeah, when I think of crappy teams, the Netherlands is one of the first countries to come to mind.

That's rediculous. Of course I'm fine with crappy results in meaningless games because Bruce has gotten big results in big games. Ex. The World Cup, Interamerican Cup, MLS Cup, etc.

There are no grounds for firing him.
