Thanks. Wish you could make it to LA. It would be a pleasure to meet you. Been here for about the last 45 minutes. Amount of work accomplished so far: zero. Amount forecast for the week: zero
Re: MLS Cup Travel Information - aka "The I'm Going To LA Thread" :: DC United Edition 5 actually - my 12 year old daughter is coming too. We'll be dressed in black for the whole weekend - flight included - so should be easy to spot. It'll be nice to meet you after reading your 1'000s of posts over the years.
I've been to all the Cup games, no reason to stop going now Especially since United decided to go with me this year Plane takes off from Dulles Friday evening, but mentally I've been on it since leaving Lot 8 Saturday night
Really want to go.... Can't go..... And probably will cry from here until next Monday cuz I'm not... I mean, not cry.. be mad.... yes.. MAD. Dougg LN
i would, if i didnt have school or work but, i will be SCREAMING and CHEERING in front of my tv on saturday! actually, i have to work, so i will be cheering on the tape, while trying not to go to dcunited.com to "accidently" see the results GO DCU!
Cool! You going to the bash in Hollweird on Saturday night? We might be staying with my father-in-law in San Pedro if he's in town this weekend.
I was there last year (seeing Dan Loney and Jim Jay Bullock in the same bar was weird), but we didn't know there was one this year. I'll ask my party, but I'm guessing we won't be there due to expenses. I've met you before Mike, and we'll all come over and say hi before the game. Same goes for Bison and K, who we met last year. "Stogey23? Yeah, you were the guy who combined with Lowcifer to pull off the Bailey's Ex picture!"
Can't go. Just had a kid less than a month ago. Little guys like that don't travel well. Plus my wife is still recovering! Rock the house fellow Screaming Eagles
Yeah, I remember meeting you before. The Supporters' Bash is being run by The Galaxians. From their front page: I already talked to Loney. He said he's going to be there. I'm not sure about Jm Jay Bullock. Jan and I might be staying at her dad's house in San Pedro. We haven't asked him yet, and will call him tonight when we get home. I didn't realize how close San Pedro is to Carson until I looked at Mappoint this morning.
I am broke-ass broke, but with a plane ticket in hand!* *Ok, this is just a figure of speech since Jetblue is ticketless, but still!
I started a seperate thread for the Supporters' Bash. In 1999, United fans took over Paddy Burke's in Boston and made it our own bar.
I would love to go, but i am unfortunately a 17 year old high school senior that lives in Maryland. Thus, my friend and I will have a rather hard time getting there...I'll wait until DC has their own SSS, then we can go!
It's not that, just staying in LA for Saturday night. Plus, brianjames will be out here from Chicago and I don't want Hollywood to cut into San Diego Chick Gawking Time. I'll see you guys at the game though, but I will destroy any camera which captures me in a DC United jersey.
Re: MLS Cup Travel Information - LA, HDC, Gameday Info and More :: DC United Edition That would make sense, given that KC and LA are both Western Conference teams. We wore the away kit in 1998 in LA when Chicago was in the West, too.
