Is the Galaxy doomed all ready loosing to Seattle? Should we just write the season off all together, and just go to the games to tailgate and forget about the games?

    2012!!!

Rodney, for an educated man you are quite liberal with the word "loosing," you do, however, cook a "meen" steak!

I'm just thanking God you didn't use "it's" as a possessive pronoun.

That always makes me wanna blow my brains out.

Someone please insert the "grammar nazi" pic in the next post for me...

Is the Galaxy doomed already... losing to Seattle? Should we just write the season off altogether and just go to all the games to tailgate and forget about [them]?

    Grammar Nazi's suck.

Settle Down, It was 1-1 at half, they equalized on a penalty. Eleven new players in the 2nd half, who knows how many players were on the pitch that won't even make the roster.
If Bruce was more concerned about winning than looking at players he would'nt have put a new lineup on the field in the 2nd half.

Yeah the game was not that bad two late goals on Cronin that he should have stopped, you can see the video in the Seattle FC vs LA thread. Rodney do not get your panties in a bunch over this, just keep practicing your Crapids suck Crapids suck chant I always here you doing.

Let's see... Seattle is the expansion team... LA is an MLS original. According to Seattle's reports , Seattle had the better of play in the 1st half after the first 5 minutes. (The report may be biased of course but I think if their goalie had made some quality saves of our shots they would have mentioned or shown them.)

And both teams put in complete new lineups in the 2nd half, and from the clips it looked like their depth dominated our depth. And, oh yeah, Cronin --apparently our #2 gk-- gave up two easy goals by all accounts.

Yes it's pre-season and we didn't see the scrimmage... but tell me, can you see anything encouraging in the report?

The only mitigating factor is that we are missing our two stars. I think this suggests what we all know in our hearts -- without LD and/or DB coming back or LA picking up some superstar replacements, this is going to be a very mediocre MLS team.

Well, lets hope Ricketts holds up all season. We need someone as dependable as Hartman or Cannon. Cronin is a joke even as 2nd GK.

Really, with the roster and coaching turnaround we've had the past couple years, once you remove Beckham and Donovan, we really aren't much more than an expansion team...

Without seeing the roster, lineup and game we can't infer anything from this. Pre-season games aren't judged by the final score, but how they prepare the team for the season and help the coaching staff identify the players that they should start and keep on the roster.

I won't panic until we lose a game that matters...like maybe the first game of the season...

haven't we been saying that for four or five seasons now? in general i agree with you pre-season means nothing for most teams, but i'm tired of having good excuses for losing games. it's a mentality that's been embedded in our team since the stadium opened.

until i see an attitude change on a consistent basis, i'm going to assume pre-season losses indicate we're in for more of the same.

I agree, but that's tough to see in pre-season games we weren't able to watch - so we don't know if it was the mentality or something else - and for all we know the players that expressed that mentality will be the players cut from the team - which would make this pre-season lost actually a positive.

Plus, as a die-hard fan of the team, I have no choice but to go into each season optimistic and thinking "This is our season!"
