I think we'll miss out, but not by much. We need to win the next 3 games badly as January has usually been very poor to us - Colchester (A), Blackpool (H) and Scunthorpe (H) will be crucial games to get through in the new year as they'll set the pace and be ideal grounds for our newer players to settle in. Assuming we get any or manage to keep hold of the loans we have.
It is Blackpool (A) draw, Scunthorpe (H) win and Colchester (A) draw. Obviously we will beat Yeovil, Walsall, Rotherham and draw at Gillingham, which is, including the last 2 scores, 21pts from a possible 27, and well on the way up the League. Let's face it, i was right about the Port Vale and Huddersfield games, even thought Brooker would score.
not a bristol city fan, but they earned a bit of appreciation from me for today's performance. fantastic cup effort v 'boro. excellent match.
Well, we've overtaken them into 2nd, and all going well we should trounce Brentford today, and Scunny can at least hold them to a draw so that we can go even further in front of 'em
Well, it's 5 days to go until League One 06-07's main event of the season- Bristol City vs Nottingham Forest at Ashton Gate. Will this be a faint glimmer of hope for the former European Champions to catch up, or will it be a culmination of an 8-year journey of the Robins to finally seize promotion to the 2nd tier of English Football? Elsewhere, Scunthorpe entertain a desparate Bradford City, and hold a very wonky 2-point lead at the top saved only by Billy Sharp's late goal last Saturday. Will they finally relinquish a long undefeated run and fall from the top? Plenty of fun to be had out of the top flight, wouldn't you agree?
I plan on studying abroad in Bristol in a year, if so I'll be certain to catch a few Bristol City and/or Bristol Rovers games while I'm over there. So you might get another fan on the boards as I follow these guys during the next year.
Maybe. But at least we're honest farmers and don't go to cars to steal radios during matchday, hence the song by West Ham fans: "We've got Di Canio, you've got our car stereos!"
