Are Dema and Freddy buddy-buddy?

Has anybody else notcied? When Freddy scored his goal in the exhibition Dema wrapped his arm around him and ran back up the field with him. Last weekend when Dema scored Freddy jumped on his back, pointing to him and yelling at the crowd. I know this seems pointless, but if someone was ever looking out for Freddy, Dema would be my choice.

    Seems?

If there is one person on the team that Adu needs to pick up zero habits from, it's Dema Kovalenko.

Honestly, I don't think that being insane and unable to control your anger is a habit. I don't think Adu's likely to pick up 'crazy.'

Hey, in no way am I saying that I want Freddy to pick up on Dema's anger issues. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed what I saw in my original thread.

I hate it when young players learn tireless work rates and fierce tenacity to win :)

I disagree... strongly! Dema is powerful, ambitious, quick, and single-minded when he had the ball... These characteristics are absolutely what Adu needs. If Kovalenko wishes to share such talent with the 'kid, God bless him. Also... a bit of Dema's professional ambition might not hurt a child so young as Adu...

In fairness, however, D.C. United has such a rich assortment of professional soccer characters and diverse playing abilities from which Adu might learn that it is doubtful that one person alone would take Adu "under his wing", but rather he will become a team project; i.e., the entire team will continually offer learning lessons, much the same way it did just a few years ago with baby Bobby Convey... who didn't turn out so bad! Adu is truly blessed to be amid and among such a rich learning environment!

I forgot where I read it, but someone described Dema as "Freddy's guardian demon"

Either way, I agree, Dema would be my choice too.

. . . And I thought this was to be sung to the tune of "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina". But, upon further review, I see that the syllables don't fit . . . I'm glad the LOTR reference cleared that up . . .

And Kovalenko. But Dema didn't score five of his six goals off of PKs.

Etch ended up tied for the most goals, and tied for the most assists.

Dema on a motorcycle? That's not funny. That's fvcking scary, man. I'd rather start finding white powder in my mail than have to drive near that.

Uh, guys, could it be coach has Freddy trying to rub off some on Dema?
Think this is a dream symbiotic relationship. Freddy gets some backbone as well as a punisher/enforcer at his back while Dema, exorcising the Hristo Mad-Bulgarian tendancies, gets to see firsthand what it was like to play as a kid again. Win-win as I see it.
