Been reading alot of posts stating that while Bayern might be a good club, their side is filled with awful men, ie. Oliver Kohn. Or is this just plain jealously over the ridiculous amount of Deutschland Salad Dishes that Bayern have won...wink?

Envy, though Effenberg didn't help perceptions. ;)

I think it is more directed towards Bayern management. Franz is a hot head who has made some ridiculous statements over the years. Karl Heinz and Uli would not win any personality contests either. Rudi Voeller has recently chastized Bayern management for trying to put Bayern's importance over The National Team by trying to persuade Ballack to sit out the Euro qualifier. I agree with Rudi. Also, Bayern has the deepest purse strings in the league. Much like Man U in England, who are held with wide contempt. But love 'em or hate 'em, these guys are winners for club and country.

NOT FC Hollywood?!?!?! Surely you jest.

Some nicknames are too good to go away.

    Immer FC Hollywood!

The nickname came from all the drama that surrounded the club due to a lot of personalities within the club - playing and non-playing - that clashed with each other. Namely the feud between Matthaeus and Effenberg.

It was the feud between Klinsmann and Matthaus.
On thing was that Matthaeus had a bet with Uli Hoeness that Klinsmann won´t be abled to score 15 goals during the 96/97 season(in the end he had 16).

The name was definitly correct and Loddar was the main part of FC Hollywood.
He even wrode a book in that time, called "My Diary", where he bashes some other players.

Seems very common with most clubs.

Just appears that the bigger clubs get the more drama surrounds them, terrible, but real part of the game.

Ya there was so much drama in those days.

How about Effenberg having an affair with Thomas Strunz's wife !! Basler having a fight in a bar and Effenberg punching a women in a restaurant...

Ahhhh those were the days ;)
