Here's our starting line up today:

Wolf, Fritz, Prödl, Caldirola, Garcia - Bargfrede, Makiadi, TGS, Hunt, Junuzovic, Di Santo

It's said that Dutt is going with TGS instead of Elia today in favour of a more defensive lineup. Hunt will then move up to support as second striker.

Looks like Bayern is going with our old boy Pizarro.

First chance for Werder, TGS with the steal passing to Hunt but no space given in the box.

....Bayern on the counter. Good clearance by Caldirola

Beauty counter by Werder! 1-0 for us

Makiadi with the nice control bringing forward, then finding Theo GS on far wing. Great finish there too!

    AARON HUNT! 2-1 :D:D

Werder scores the 2nd on another counter. Great hold up effort by Di Santo. Hunt able to help out receiving cross on opposite wing. Good run and dribble to go around Boateng before that cool finish.

Neuer almost caught sleeping in front of goal.

...Werder nice cross from the wing, goes right across the net

    Schweini header 4-2

Defense sleeping yet again. Prödl and boys, you gotta put up an aerial challenge at least.

    Elia > Di Santo

Great run by Garcia up the flank. Juno's shot saved by Neuer.

Good teams force such mistakes. I am sad about the final score, but not angry on the team. Clubs like Bayern or Dortmund are currently way above our level. Nevertheless I hope the team finishes the league better than rank 14, because of the tv money beeing distributed according to the final league standing. And Werder needs every cent it could get.

    Post match comments:

"That was two entirely different halves. In the first half we did a good job, had a game plan which really worked well. We stood pretty solid in the back and played attack with guts," said manager Thomas Eichin about the positive side of the match-up. "But after the break, we didn't go into the challenges at all and gave Bayern too much space. We can gauge the result quite well and know that it's difficult to play like we did in the first half over a full 90 minutes. We will take the positives from this," added Eichin.

Clemens Fritz: "We kept up with them quite a while today and did a good job taking to the challenges. In the first half, we played our game exactly how we wanted to. We knew in the break that it would be another very intense 45 minutes. Unfortunately in the second half we didn't go after it in the challenges and wound up only chasing - then it's really difficult against Bayern. In the end, we couldn't offer them any resistance. Still, the difference was too high."

Zlatko Junuzovic: "I had mixed feelings about the match. In the first half, our plan worked to perfection. Their goals at the beginning of the second half totally brought us out of concept. That left us disappointed with the result because we invested a lot of energy here. We would have liked to have picked up at least something but today individual class won out."

Sebastian Prödl: "In the first half, we played a very good game. And then very bad in the second half. We weren't present any more and let Bayern play their game. In addition, Bayern played their best match in a long time today, especially in the second half. All of a sudden they had numbers in every situation and were too strong for us."

Robin Dutt: "We went into the game very confident and won a lot of challenges and really pushed forward well. We had two perfect counter attack goals. When you go into the break leading 2-1, of course you hope that you can pick something up in the end. The first five minutes after halftime were still okay but then we gave up goals out of nowhere. In the end, the final result was too high because my team did a good job for a long time."
