Welcome to the 10th iteration of BigSoccer, which we call BSX.

As we've grown from MetroFan to SoccerBoards to BigSocccer; from 1 MetroStars board to 100 boards to over 1000 forums; from white to maroon to blue and gold...we constantly strive to meet your needs and exceed your expectations. Whether we succeed or fail, we always do our best to listen. Many of the requests we have gotten over the years have or will appear in BSX. Thanks to the nearly fifty folks who helped us Beta test BSX.

Today you are seeing the first phase of BSX, which primarily affects the user interface. Over the next few months, phases two and three of BSX will roll out. What should you keep an eye out for? First, watch your User Profile page take an exciting shape. Second, look forward to the ability to pull your best posts instantly into your own personal soccer blog. Third, the expansion of the new Community Centers where the leading voices of our community will be given a starring role. And fourth, well we don't want to spoil any surprises!

    Today's changes include:

    • A more dynamic look and feel, including action headers
    • Useful top of page pull-down navigation
    • Introduction of community centers for USA, MLS, WC and England (bolded in the top nav)
    • Better visual identifiers of which forums have new posts
    • Quick search functions by clicking forum icons
    • Expanded personal profile and social networking features
    • Elimination of the Bot from "New Posts"
    • And other small features you will discover as you surf
Lots of people will post to this thread "hooray" or "boo". That's ok. We look forward to discovering the new ideas we haven't thought of yet. Welcome to BSX. We hope you enjoy the improvements.

    Congratulations on everything.
I thought that this new look was kind of fruity but it has grown on me.
    Well done

I think it all looks great actually. Seems to be a lot faster too. I really like the drop down set up.

I guess the (sorta) means that it's not finished yet?

Hope so cause the white and cream kind of yellow colors don't go together.

Congrats anyway. Is REP gone? Can't wait.

nice changes, but the all white background is really annoying and kinda hurts your eyes after like a minute.. the old classic style was fine

Is what I'm seeing right now serious?
Its all white, things dont mix well at all, and it looks horrible. I'm hoping my screen is messing up right now because this is bad.

I really don't like the "social networking features" one bit.

"Labdarugo wants to be friends with ..."

Huss, what is this -- BigSoccer Middle School??!!

"... wants to be friends with Labdarugo."
Anyone who wants to can rep me or drop me a PM. Cool. But friendly lurkers? That's just creepy.

What's next? Changing the name of the site to "MyBigSoccer" ... ?

Do you have an inbox if we have what we think are useful suggestions?

I personally like the new look and colors very much. The pale yellow and blue compliment each other well. It just comes off as more modern and more dynamic. Keep up the good job.

    1) I like the idea of having my Buddies on view in my profile, but can we make use of it somehow?

I never used the buddy list in the past, but wasn't it supposed to be handy for group PM'ing somehow?

And if group PM'ing of buddies can be implemented, it would be useful if we could subgroup our buddies (for instance, I have a subgroup of FCD buddies who it would be nice to reach with one click re FCD supporter news)

    2) Can we ever get that "USA Men: General" forum set up?

dk says he's OK with the idea and will check with you; and you've said your OK with it and will check with dk, but never have your 2 minds met (sorry to harp on this, but I do think it will help out USA Men in the long run)

    With regards to group pm
    you open the buddy list
click the boxes of the people you want to pm
    and click pm users
it adds all their names to the message

Some might say that is an improvement. ;)

The Soccer365 still works, so just change to that for now.

    EDIT: And it's back...
