I've been vaccinated and wear a mask--but I expect to get it at some point. I figure I've done what I can do, and I need to live my life. The rest is up to God.

BTW, the COVID test is really no fun. Had to have one this week (negative). I'd not want to be doing it on a regular basis, like most of our health care workers do. Heroes.

 

The big difference is that you don't get as sick--and some show no symptoms at all.

Anybody else frustrated that the club has high-profile players unvaccinated and went out of their way to trade for an unvaccinated player given the public health crisis and what happened last year in the playoffs?

It's unlikely to happen, but what happens if we scrape our way into the playoffs and have a road matchup against Montreal?

 

Oh, I'm very much on record with how this nonsense has sucked what little joy was to be had out of a very frustrating season.

I wouldn't swear to it, but I think you're slightly off. It is calculated by the difference from the expected trope of "win at home, draw on the road". So, your home numbers are right, but I think a road win is +2, road draw is 0 and road loss is -1.

Latest stats I saw were:

99.99+% of the vaccinated breakthrough cases do NOT result in hospitalization or death.

But, 5% of breakthrough infections result in long haul COVID. Long haul COVID at 30% in unvaccinated.

Did not get the hospitalization/death rate for the unvaxxed.

 

Mensah and Room are unvaccinated and would also miss an away Montreal match, a problem that could carry over into next season.

Eh. I sold my ticket for the match and will watch OSU live and Crew on DVR. It does look like the forecast is for it to be dry at matchtime at least. Montreal is missing their leading scorer while we are likely to have Lucas back. So there's a reasonable chance we get 3 points tonight and pretend to be playoff contenders for a couple more weeks.

Only my second match attendance this year. Expecting a brief monsoon on the walk to the stadium, a Crew win, then an ice storm on the walk back, followed by a localized Sharknado in the parking garage.

Crew get a win, though. That's what's important.
