It appears that we have signed a genius....and he doesn't have his own thread! every time he gets the ball something generally happens he has completely eclipsed nasri on the left and when he drifts inside hes ridiculous too! easily my favorite player in the side now, his stats are amazing too...in 9 games he has 8 assists and 2 goals right? i wish he had come to the club sooner so we could use him in the cl but alas... he may look like a barn owl, but he is the proverbial shit! ps use of the nickname Shava is prohibited in this thread.
I was thinking about making a thread about him too, but thebigman beated me to it. Arshavin is a great player. I can't believe I used to hate him before. I remember in one of these threads, I said I rather have N'Zogbia over arshavin. Lucky, Wenger didn't listen to me.
You can imagine my disappointment when I went to sign Arshavin during the transfer window on Fifa 09 and he wasn't available because Zenit isn't on the game. He's a beast!!!
SHAVA has been immense... its not a coincidence to see that our CM play has improved since he has been match fit 2 goals and 7 assists in 9 matches
Where are you getting his assist stat from? He only has four in the league. Has he really gotten that many in the FA Cup? Arshavin was a great buy. He improves the team. Hopefully, he can keep up the good work!
Extremely talented. I can now understand why Wenger really went after this guy for so long. Virtually no adjustment period either, has fit right in, and seems to get along with the lads on the field.

Do you have a link? I don't recall him getting assists against Cardiff or Burnley. As far as I know, he has 2 goals and 4 assists, which still is really good for nine games.
I gat nothing much to say, than to appreciate him for his contribution,he realy impress me alot, and the rest of the player,am very sure they are taking Asenal to the next level,my advice for him not relent and the rest of the player.Am very proud to be Asenal fans.God bless Asenal and God bless Wenger.i love you all.
His English skills are pretty impressive. That bodes well for him adapting, although I'm concerned about his impression of a poorer quality of life in London. Hopefully he's more mature and adaptable than another left winger, Senor Reyes... Arshavin is just a delight to watch. In addition to great skills, he's got tremendous desire. That pinpoint pass to Theo for the first goal, after falling himself, exemplifies his craft and graft. He's going to fit in beautifully in the Arsenal pantheon, if he can string together a few healthy years. The Cesc-Arshavin-Eduardo and Cesc-Arshavin- Theo and Cesc-Arshavin-RVP combinations..... tasty!

absolutely class player. he's played a large part in turning the season around and i think his presence will give us a legitimate shot at winning the FA cup
I've admired this man since I saw him play in a Euro qualifier back in 07. He's a top quality player, no doubt about it. He's quick with his feet and with his thought, very intelligent and an eye for goal. I was really hoping we would have brought him on board in the summer, but I guess his asking price was so ridliculously inflated that Wenger decided to wait it out.
Great signing! Arshavin is pure class, he almost "glides" past defenders. It's exciting every time he receives the ball in the attacking third. And he doesnt use the sense-less stepovers as per say "Robinho" or "Ronaldo". I really, really think with this little bit of the end of the season under his belt, a big, big season will be coming from this man. Imagine if we had him in the Champions League as well. If he plays an entire season injury-free, IMO he could be one of the best 3 players on the planet.
this may be a stupid theory... but it was probably better to buy him in January as oppose to to last summer... altho Palyuchenko is not of the same class, look at his performance this year... he has played football for 17 months with no break... had the Euros in their as well... and then came to Spurs... I have a bad feeling Arshavin would be in a similar boat of being mentally tired... same thing happened with Elano last season coming from Ukraine... buying him in January, he came during his offseason, with the season getting ready to start back in Russia... he needed a month to get into real playing shape, but now he is fresh and playing great football for the next few months, and then can get acclimated to the premiership and have a full training camp while keeping his body as close to its normal routine as possible... also, Shava will win POY in the premiership next year, or at least would deserve it... as their is an Arsenal bias out there
