So therefore, only Miami, Messi and Beckham get this TV money?

I calculated the $2.5B per team and per year and it's about 8M per team per year. But I'm sure it's not as simple as that, especially after subtracting Messi's cut :).

Listening to a British podcast where they say Messi’s salary was announced as $20.5 M (base salary of $8M) — more than most MLS teams entire salary cap

Even half or 1/3 of that figure will help buy a DP or two,

It would cerainly help buy better non DP's for the roster as well.

Like our famed academy, we still haven't see the fruits of this Apple TV deal with the Quakes but the main question is, when will we? .

If the team got say $4M a year for the Apple TV deal, Fish is not going to turn around and spend that on a DP. My guess is that even with the TV revenue and whatever revenue sharing, the Quakes are operating at a pretty significant yearly operating loss.

The instructions are in reference to mls season pass on an AppleTV. I didn’t try it in other platforms…

I wonder how much of Messi’s bonus above base salary comes from Apple?

im surprised I haven’t seen a lot of jokes about the Twenty Million Dollar Man

According to Apple , Friday's playoff match between Inter Miami and Atlanta Utd was the most-watched AppleTV sporting event in the platform's history. The metric used and the numbers are unknown, so it's simply Trust Us ™ viewership.

Is MLS Cup going to be on Fox or only on Apple ?

After being a STH at Buck Shaw and Avaya I gave up. Swearing to never purchase anything Quake related that would put a dime into Fisher's pocket. Depending on what happens in the off season, debating whether to renew MLS season pass. $100 to watch a team win 6 games and lose 25 times? There's always free radio.

There are 28 other teams you can also watch (some that are actually good at soccer and/or entertaining)... 29 next year!

So you're not interested in good soccer but you are interested in some of the worst soccer in the history of the sport... makes sense!

I haven’t really been paying attention, but I thought I’ve been hearing that watching all the MLS playoff games are free on AppleTV?

Oops, i was wrong. Only Messi’s first playoff game was free. But…

Assume the actual name was a reference to The Beatles' record label...

Was probably in the back of their minds even if it was a blatant rip-off. Jobs was at root a 60's counterculture guy - into Dylan and the Beatles, etc. Our tech titans these days are a little different :-(.

Yeah the next big tech company is more likely to be named after the Thule Society or Julius Evola
