Bobby Clark has enjoyed a memorable season with the first team, but his campaign has come to a premature end thanks to injury, meaning he’s made his final contribution for Jurgen Klopp. The 19-year-old has risen to prominence this season, playing an important role at a time when a host of senior players were unavailable, seeing him make 12 appearances. One of those included the League Cup final triumph, his first senior trophy in what was only his ninth appearance for the club. But, unfortunately, he will not be in contention to add any more games to his tally in 2023/24 after Clark himself confirmed his campaign is over due to injury. On social media, he said: “Unfortunately my season has come to an end early due to injury, time to focus on getting back fit for the new season.”
FARO, Portugal (AP) — Scotland lost another attacking option for the European Championship on Tuesday when teenage Liverpool winger Ben Doak was ruled out by injury.
Mac has an adductor strain. Came off around 70 mins the other day. Argientina is 4 pts ahead in qualifying (I think). Which means he's a stone-cold certainty to play every minute of their next games.
I don't like the sound of this. Adductor strains are notorious for turning into long-term problems. Didn't Gerrard struggle with this for several years until he eventually had to go in for a surgery and long-term rehabilitation? A lot of times these are called "groin injuries." I believe Sturridge, and Torres also battled these types of recurring injuries...
he played last night, and - AFAIK - suffered no problems, so hopefully the original thinking was overly cautious. at this point I expect he'll be available for Saturday. hope to hell he is, anyway.
He usually isn;t up to speed when he returns to England from SA - I'd keep him for 20-25 mins on Sat. let Jones play.
Liverpool have injury concerns over Konstantinos Tsimikas after the full-back was spotted leaving the Anfield pitch on Wednesday evening with his right knee heavily strapped with ice.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot on Federico Chiesa being fit for the game: "Wait and see, he didn’t train for the last two days. He came in today to see if he can train. If he can today, I have a decision to make because we can only select 20. First of all we have to wait and see if he can even train. And if he can, its our decision if we bring him to the game or not." -- still sounds to me like illness, not injury -- where's the CP game thread??
Slot saying Ali is not expected to be back until after the November international break, and Mac is a groin injury but doesn't know how bad.
Not a good time for those two to be unavailable with the run of fixtures we face after the int break.
seems Slot is saying Ali will be out until after the November NT break, so 7 games if that's accurate -- Chelsea, Leipzig, Arse, Brighton x 2, Leverkusen, Villa. we'll be perfectly fine with Kell. hopefully Mac's withdrawal was mostly precautionary. just keep him away from the Argie NT!
Maybe it's all a cunning plan so they don't have to play in any pesky international matches and both will be just fine in two weeks time?
