    ok troll

    _____

the key to America beating monterrey three times out of four consecutive games is going for the kill when they're up 1-0 (last sundays monterrey match was too close), and getting into the head of players like luis perez, who is one of the league leaders in yellow cards. an early lead saturday will strike the panic button for dirty players.

oh and i will comment on whatever team i like.

Chucho Ramirez confirmed what we all knew, that he is a small minded coach with small minded tactics. That Bauer and his crew are a bunch of incompetent retarded morons.

After 5 months, this team still plays like shit. Even Cabanas and Ochoa are playing like shit. My grandfather grew up an Americanista, my dad is an Americanista, I have always been an Americanista, but It becomes harder and harder every day to support this group of mental midgets.

Ochoa would have saved that gol back in his prime. Hes far from it now. Cabanas missed 2 key chances. Idk if im the only one, but i want to upgrade Cabanas. Hes given all he had to give for us.

    Donovan anybody??

We'd be satisfied if Cabañas would have put the header in or the one-on-one earlier...or shared the ball towards the end.

    Who's to blame???

ochoa had 3 choices in that play were suazo scored

jump left jump right or stay put

    he chose one

dunno how that makes him past his prime

    and cabañas miss was inexcusable

but then again even the best of players make mistakes

so lol just be happy that you guyz actually touched la liguilla this time around

you guyz have the the squad but u need a better coach than chucho

he would have left you guyz a day before the final if a team from la liga española came knocking anyways

I am a bigger fan of continuity and stability especially when it comes to Mexico's short tourneys...so I'm not ready to villify Chucho. Yes his tactics seem questionable. The ebb and flow of the game dictate the attitude of those participating in it. What I do hold against him is not instilling a mentality that supercedes those aforementioned instances.

No mamen.

How quick we are to forget where this team was just these past few seasons.

Chucho isn't my favorite tactician, but he did give this team some orden en la cancha, where before they where lost. It didn't translate into goals galore, except a couple of games, but he gave us a team that could win any given game. The team was so focused on standing firm on the pitch that it was difficult for them to flip the switch and become an all out attacking team.

Let us not forget the Descenso standings at the beginning of the season, or not making the Liguilla in awhile. I know that thinking of small goals like that is beneath a club grande como America, but you have to be realistic. The team is better, but they weren't ready for all of this.

I honestly think the club surprised Chucho, he probably came out hoping to finish 5th-8th and make the Liguilla, but then the team starting winning games and with it came expectations that weren't merited.

The one stat that stands out more then the 4th position and the points won, is the games dropped and tied, America only lost 3 games, the fewest in the league, but they also drew 6 times, games that could have swung the other way, and our despair for their ousting in the Liguilla wouldn't exist, because they might not have even made it. Those are stats of a team that has a strict form on the pitch and it was hard to break out of and be a high flying team.

They need to stay on the course of improvement they've set for themselves and tweak it slightly. Take the Interliga seriously and try to win a spot in the Libertadores, which allows for what they need most, more competing, more work.

As far as Cabanas goes, along with Memo, he held this club up in darker days and he deserves the respect he's earned. He scored a ton of goals "again" this season, and with a little more help will continue to do so. He needs legs along side him that will play 90 minutes, not a Montenegro that plays only when he wants.

Looking back, I'm proud of the club, and can now look forward to next season with enthusiasm, instead of just hoping they wouldn't lose that bad again.

This is a great post and it bears to be repeated. We will be back.... keep the continuity going with Chuco's proyecto.... if he ********s up again tactically then we will know if we need to make a change.....but all in all, win or lose, Soy Americanista.
