i think its a good thing because telemundo had poor quality ....but if all the games are going to be in galavision i prefer telemundo because i dont have that channel. id rather see a blurry game than nothing at all

Telemundo is a US network, now part of NBC/GE, with no investment in Mexican clubs.

Univision also is US company, and owns no Mexican teams.

TV Azteca of Mexico owns Monarcas (Morelia).

Televisa, the Mexican media conglomerate that provides matches to Univision, and originally was involved in setting up that network in the US, does own Club America as well as the recently relegated Club San Luis.

They used to own Atlante and Necaxa, but no longer do.
(If persistent rumors prove to be correct, they may be on the way to owning the San Jose Earthquakes as well. But no US broadcast outfits own teams in Mexico)

ITs kind of hard to say that Tv Azteca owns Morelia when the real owner is Grupo Salinas, who is also owner of Tv Azteca.

How would TV Guide know a week before if the FMF is going to re-schedule matches?

TV Guide works in a way but only as well as yours does. Both will always be "Subject to Change". They will always be at the mercy of the FMF and TV channels, but usually they are set within a week prior to the matches.

I see information that Fox Sports en Espanol will be showing the Veracruz vs. Necaxa match on Saturday night. This match is also on Azteca.

8 PM ET / 7 PM CT / 5 PM PT live on FSE
    11 PM ET / 10 PM CT / 8 PM PT re-broadcast

Anyone have information concerning FSE airing Mexican games this season?

I can say that Cuauh must cost alot of money, now its looks like Veracruz has a tv contract with Fox Sports to air matches in the US, might that be the answer why Fox Sports is airing the match, well who cares i enjoy the Mexican commentators on Fox.

but wait a min, isn't that the time a MLS game is usually on Fox sports Esp?

The Wizards are playing the Revolution that night on Fox Sports World. I see nothing for MLS over the weekend on FSE.

Perhaps they're getting terrible ratings on Fox Sports en Espanol for the MLS games. God knows they'll get more people watching with Liga Mexicana matches.

    :D

    updated sked from FMF

    JORNADA 2 SCHEDULE (from FMF)

Heavily revised (a bunch of games moved off the early Saturday slots, which would have made sense had the men's Oly team advanced, but as it stands I'm not really sure why). The schedule follows, along with TV arrangements as best as I 've been able to determine them in light of the changes:

    Saturday 8/21
DORADOS vs. SANTOS, 19:00 local (5 pm PT/8 pm ET), live on Azteca

ATLAS vs. PUEBLA, 20:45 local (6:45 pm PT/9:45 pm ET), delayed on Galavision at 9 pm PT/midnight ET

TIGRES vs. MONTERREY, 21:00 local (7 pm PT/10 pm ET), live on Telefutura

    Sunday 8/22

PACHUCA vs. GUADALAJARA, 12:00 local (10 am PT/1 pm ET), live on Azteca
ATLANTE vs. U.N.A.M., 12:00 local (10 am PT/1 pm ET), live on Univision. Also, if anyone cares, it's at the Azteca rather than UTN.
U.A. DE G. vs. AMÉRICA, 16:00 local (2 pm PT/5 pm ET), live on Azteca

    MOVED TO TUESDAY 8/24
TOLUCA vs. MONARCAS, 15:00 local (1 pm PT/4 pm ET), delayed on Galavision at 9 pm PT/midnight ET (Univision's website has the date/time change and says the broadcast will be live on Gala at that time, but it's clear they're not playing at 11 pm local....)

    MOVED TO SATURDAY 9/4
VERACRUZ vs. NECAXA, 19:00 local (5 pm PT/8 pm ET), television TBA

    MOVED TO MONDAY 9/6
CRUZ AZUL vs. JAGUARES, time TBD, television TBA

The schedule is usually formally announced on Tuesday prior to the weekend's matches (and Thursday or Friday prior to a midweek round) and are posted on the FMF website at http://www.femexfut.org.mx/federacion/index.php

Dorados vs. Santos is being played at 19:00 Saturday, but I'm not certain whether that is 19:00 local (= US Mountain time) or 19:00 in central Mexico (= US Central). In either case, Azteca America can't show it before they actually play it....
