    Becks shock
    By VIKKI ORVICE

DAVID BECKHAM has told Manchester United he would go back to the club if Alex Ferguson went.

The United board contacted Becks about a sensational return this summer.

And the England skipper’s advisers confirmed he is ready to say yes — but only if Fergie is not boss.

More in the article about Arsenal and Chelsea's potential interest, etc.

You are joking, right? We've got better options on the right, Fergie has given immeasurably more to the club and I'd rather spend them oney from getting Beckham back on other players.

    Keep Fergie, forget Beckham.

Yeah true, but fergie has only won 1 premiership trophy since RvN joined 3seasons ago. Thats not good enough for a player like RvN and not good enough for a club like Manchester United. This could b a sign of things to come in the future and if it is, I dont like the look of the future for Man Utd.

Need to get someone new i think like Queiroz or Mark Hughes :p

Interesting. Do supporters really think the team would have done better this season with Beckham? While he is a great footballer, it seems that Beckham also can cause friction within the clubhouse. If I remember correctly, part of why Sir Alex decided to not keep Beckham was because he was acting as more of a "pop star" then a footballer. And look at all of the headlines Beckham is receiving for his actions off the field this season. Who knows, I just believe he could continue to be a distraction.
