Anyone? I read the excerpt they had in Newsweek a week ago, and it seemed like an interesting read. I'll probably get this sometime in the near future and have it to read as things start getting cold in this part of the world and I'm forced to spend more time inside.
http://bobdylan.com/updates/ The book is the first in a series of the artist's self-penned personal histories, with this volume being comprised of first-person narratives focusing on significant periods in Dylan's life and career.
Its the first volume in a series of three autobiographies. I guess it was supposed come out two years ago. This is the Minneapolis Star Tribune article on the book:Dylan memoir: Hibbing to hiding (sorry if it says ya have to log in, the star trib. is difficult that way)
Hey leppy, I'll be buying the book and can always let ya read my copy if you don't feel like forking out the bucks for it.
I was thinking of getting the book on CD, but only if it's read in a low incoherent mumble with flashes of clarity. Sachin
There actually is a CD version that was released simultaneously with the book. It's read by Sean Penn, though, so you're probably out of luck, as I'm guessing it's fairly well enunciated.
Bob Dylan wrote a book? I'll have to check it out. if he is half as good at writing a novel as he is in some of his albums, it will be great.
