My bro and I are seriouxsly considering going to Toronto for the first TFC - Dynamo match on May 16th. Just wondering if anyone else is thinking about going?
I had thought about it but the fact that it is a Wednesday game and that we are going to the D.C. game the following week made me decide against. Make sure you have passports if you are flying and tickets to the game. Toronto is selling very fast.
20,000 seats I believe. and you'll need a passport if you plan on going to Canada, so no I'm not going
Toronto is huge and BORING. The people talk funny, too. I wouldn't recommend going up there for a game unless you plan on smuggling back some Cuban cigars, or something.
I think if we did go, I'd have to do the Rush tour. See where Dirk, Lerxst and Pratt got their start, the same year as the new album and a new tour...
Dang, you beet me to it... The good thing is they are coming to town. The bad news is getting to the Woodlands on a Tuesday night after work, then back to work Wednesday. The conflicting news is that that's the night of SuperLiga semifinals...
Actually, I don't think our (Canada's) rules have changed. So you can still get in with just a driver's license (if you're a US citizen). You'll need the passport (if you fly) so that your government will let you back into the US. But, hey, Toronto's a great city if you do happen to get stranded. Congratulations on your win against us in South Carolina, by the way. It was a good chance for us to measure ourselves against the league's best and see where we still need to improve.
This was a game I really wanted to go to before the schedule came out. Toronto is a great city and the atmosphere should be good considering the season ticket sales. Unfortunately, with the game being in the middle of the week, there is no way that I can get off work. Maybe next year.
Been a long, long time since I've been to a Rush concert (I'm thinking Roll The Bones Tour) but everytime I went to one, I absolutely loved it.
