I'm with you, Albany. I'd sure like to but I have 2 hungry mortgages to feed. If I don't go to work, my stress level will drop and I won't be able to keep off those unsightly pounds!

Instead, I will have to rely upon the observations of our fellow addicted.

Can't go--love to check it out as well but given the location of WVC.

I'm apt towards hanging out Feb 9 @ USF/Negosco Stadium though...

If they'd give me a tryout, I'd take it!! I'd never come close to making the team but it would be one of the greatest days of my life!!!

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Me too!

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp It won't happen, though, as I'm old. :(

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp GO EARTHQUAKES!!!

It'd actually be pretty sweet for us "oldsters," Goodsie. I'm sure they have a whirlpool or something therapeutic like that for our would-be swollen knees/ankles and after they cut us, we'd likely get to keep our gear!

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp That would be sweet - especially if among the gear I was able to keep was the authentic new Quakes jersey, replete with logo patch & star, wordmark, numbers, sponser patches, "Goodsport" name across the back, etc. :D

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp GO EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

Still...to live the dream! Imagine how awesome it would be to open that Freekick magazine and see "Goodsport" listed in the roster?! Around week #4 or so, we'd find the Goodsport flats inserted. At the MBNA counter, they'd be offering us a Goodsport bobblehead with each sign-up for a Quakes/MBNA credit card.

Hey, I'd ride pine or spend a season on IR for that!

The bench can only hold so many...

That woud be a cool promotion, win and you get to spend a day with the 'Quakes gear included and sit on their bench for one home game.

Hey! They offer those "fantasy camps" for baseball. Too bad the Quakes (or MLS, in general) don't offer those. I'd drop some bucks (and increase my medical coverage) to participate in that!!!

I'd pay to watch you BS'ers scrimmage the Quakes. It would never happen (since it'd be a liability to the players) but it would definitely be entertaining. :)

At least one English team auctioned off a spot on the roster. The winner got to be in the team picture and some other stuff.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp But if my presence in the stands is enough to lower Spartan's attendance, imagine what my presence on the field would do to gate receipts. :(

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp GO EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

Yeah, that team was Arsenal. Hmmm... I wouldn't mind meeting Freddie Ljungberg.

That would be a cool promotion. It would help generate interest in the team as well. Kinda like (not really) those 8 or 9 year olds that call off the roster for the Giants at home games. Get fans to really interact with the team, close the gap with the rabid fans and the general fans. Something like the Clint Mathis Mohawk night they had in Dallas after the World Cup.

    Re: Re: Anyone going?

Does that mean you were kicked off the team as MrQuahog, and then had to work your way back into the lineup as BlueMeanie?
