Thoughts on the $1800 Fantasy Seats package at RFK?

Anyone get the fantasy seats (field level) package? or know of anyone who did? Rich folks out there. This is for a season right--$1800. Its not clear. Is it worth it in your opinion to get the "Fantasy" seats? I checked the DCU website and some things you get over the regular season tickets are: Meal pass, parking, waiter/waitress service, and replay monitors. And of course, up close to the action, players and coach. I, much rather be in the stands with the psycho fans and a overall view of the field. Besides, I'm a poor man and live in the cheap seats. Cheap seat fans Unite!!!

    Thoughts?

My season ticket cost me $400 and I'm basically midfield (quiet side) in 207. Great seat, about 30 seconds from the Foggy Bottom cart and the pisser.

    I'll keep the extra $1400.

ditto here, except I'm on the other side in 231, and they cost a little less. I'm happy having 3 seats with a better view for a little over half the price. It may be interesting to sit down there for a game or two, but no way I'd buy in for a whole season there.

    These are field level, right?

I've done 20 years of side line lawn chair duty with the kids from first grade through college. Enough!

I prefer the view from higher up.

I'm right above you in 307. Perfect seats, almost exactly on the line. It's a good laugh to watch most of the people in the lower sections bolt up to us when the rain starts :) (Yeah i'm a whimp, but at least I admit it by buying the dry seats).

Just wish it wasn't the quiet side :/

It could be fun to be on the field, but i'd be too tempted to run out and throttle the Ref if they haven't improved over the last few years....

I used to sit in 231, before I finally decended into the nest - now a buddy of mine has the seats in 231 (row 3) I gave up. Darn good seats.
I have 3 1/2 season tickets and they cost $800 less than one of those. They get sandwiches and cokes (out of the SE R2D2 cooler!) that I've seen. The tv's must be new - I'm curious to know exactly where these are.

All that money must be for the perks (which seem extremely limited) certainly not for the view - The field level view of the action isn't good at all - And the 100's sections are any good either - Its not until the mid rows of the 200's that you can see enough of every part of the field that - If you're going to spend all that money, go the Box Seats underneath the mezzanine

My thoughts exactly. I have been in 306 since near the beginning (97), so you can add being covered, which is great during cold rains. (I fully appreciate what sort of sorry and weak message that last line just sent to all of those across the way on the supporters side)

A couple of seasons back they set up a bunch of tables right in front of The Barra. That little experiment lasted exactly ONE game. :p

Also nice in avoiding the occasional beer showers from above...of course, with the upper deck being closed that's not the problem it used to be.

I'm there with ya. Give me a view where I can see the whole field, please.

if you're gonna invest some money, join me up in the mezz seats... there's no better view in the house -- you're right on top of the action, dry when it rains, and if you can find a front row seat, you're in a row by yourself with a little shelf in front of you for your beer and nachos. you might not get the atmosphere (and beer showers) that you get downstairs, but i think it's the got to be the best view of a soccer match that i've ever had.
