I was thinking about getting fieldside seats for next season if they're available. Has anyone here ever sat down there? How was it? I know higher is better for the view but I kinda wanted to get close to the action for a year but don't want to feel like I can't see s**t. TIA
Never sat in them, but have seen 2 instances since their introduction where players have flown over/through the fieldboards and landed on the laps of fans there. That's worth it in my book!
Nahhh, gotta be a bit higher with the other "common folk". Besides those people down there don't watch the match, they're too busy talking on cell phones or getting a reload on nachos.
4.) I'm too busy for a cell phone. 3.)I don't care about the other people down there. I'd love to see someone watching Rapidman get knocked by a stray ball. 2.)The only thing I'll be getting refills on is my beer. And my #1 reason for sitting fieldside... 1) Being close enough to wisper words of encouragement to Cobi Jones. But seriously I guess all I was worried about was having that "mass of people" look that you get at those U19 games. But it might be worth a try. It might get some of my non-fan friends interested in going.
they actually do still have season tickets for Field Side for 2003. They are usually taken by companies but as we've seen, they aren't often all used. I found out today that since the Atlas game is not included in season packages, the Rapids will be able to sell these, though at a larger cost. You may want to try it on October 30th to see what it's like.
Ahh! Good idea, didn't even think about it. I'll check it out. Better than spending hundreds on s***ty seats. Thanks
