Craig Ferguson, that is. Funny episode, and actually rather interesting, what with his citizenship ceremony. But I wasn't paying much attention. What was that musical act at the end (which Craig actually kind of joined)? I thought they were pretty good.
I find Craig to be the best late night talk show. His opening monologues can hit or miss but when they hit they are awesome. He goes way off the rails and starts improvising about anything that he wishes to talk about. His sketches can be quite bizarre and I find it hilarious when they have him dress up. He also gets some good comedians to play parts. I like his interviews also because he goes off the cuff and can actuallyl ask interesting questions which sometimes really surprises the guests. As you note he also really gets into his musical guests. A week or so ago he had Ringo Starr on for an interview and then Ringo played songs for the rest of the show. Craig was sitting cross legged on top of his desk really getting into it. All of that said, I haven't watched last night's episode but I did record it you cheeky monkeys.
Ahhhhh, well get back to this thread once you watch it! It's a good episode, and it was funny seeing him participate with the Scottish band he had on. Can't remember the name, though.
I finally watched the rest of the show last night. Craig was really getting into the performance, demonstrating that although he is now an American citizen, he has not forgotten his Scottish roots. Anyways, I believe the band is called "Scottish Rant." You can download tracks from their album at Amazon.com.
Actually the band was Wicked Tinkers. http://www.wickedtinkers.com/ Great performance by them with Craig joining in. All in all a great episode with the Kirsten Bell interview and the citizenship swearing in stuff.
Ya. Ya. You are correct. I remembered the word "Rant" on the CD Craig held up prior to the performance. I did a google search on "Scottish band Rant" and got "Scottish Rant." D'oh! Thanks for the correction and my apologies for the incorrect information in my original post.
