If I am counting right, we are due for a re-design next year. I found this on ebay and remembered 2 years ago the same type of auction appearing with our current jerseys waaaay before adidas released anything. Heres the link to his gallery: http://www.auctiva.com/hostedimages...7462,248167918&formats=0,0,0,0,0,0,0&format=0 I won't put a link to straight up auction, but the guys store name is ttropicalcats Minus the filled in black area on the back shoulders, I think it loos pretty badass. If VW stays our sponser, it would be cool to see a red logo.
maybe their bringing it back? nah, good call on the training top, shouldve looked closer at the stars...
I have one of these. I also have one with the 4th star. It's sort of added on right over the middle star. Looks like they had an assload of the 3 star ones and just had the 4th put on to save time and money.
I will be sad to see the current ones go. They are simple and classy. Wouldn't mind seeing a shirt with a collar for once though.
Stuff for 2005 was ordered before winning the 2004 Cup. So all the stuff was retrofitted with a fourth star.
Weren't the 4 stars arranged like that in the 2005 season? My white away jersey from that year has that configuration. Never mind. I guess SunDevil answered it. Anyway I got my shirt in some kind of clearance sale after the 2005 season so they had plenty of them in stock with the "stack of stars" on them.
I would imagine our new jerseys would look something like Chelsea's new ones. Not exactly of course, but similar. I just kinda hope it is not akin to Schalke's leaked third. http://www.footballshirtculture.com/09/10-kits/schalke-04-third-2009-2010-adidas-shirt-leaked.html
I'm imagining the jersey next season will only have 1 slightly larger star above the crest, reflecting United's 5 League championships. Maybe that's just me. Oh, and it'll be black too.
I doubt they would. The new Chelsea is the same jersey the Red Bulls are wearing this year. I'd expect United wear adidas jerseys from the templates that'll be used in the World Cup. The bulk of the big companies' jersey line come out in even years, conveniently Euro and World Cup years. There are some filler jerseys in the odd years. But, due to scheduling, United/MLS is actually out in front of European teams in regard to getting the newest shirts.
thanks for the visual. Is this the "bib" design that was referred to by Fatbastard? Because a DCU version of this could look pretty nice.
