No its not as dirty as it sounds, but I was just wondering if anyone has heard any positives and/or negatives about the new Puma match ball. I read that the ball is dimpled, so it flies straighter, farther, etc. It seems good in concept, but last time something revolutionary was brought about with a ball, all the players were whining in the 98 World Cup about a bad core, bad flight, etc.

Mediocre players blame the ball when they can't dribble, pass or shoot well.Great players don't seem to have much trouble regardless of what ball is used.

What about DC United players? They're not even mediocre, let alone good...

It stung just the same when I got smacked the face with one as the old balls.

Has anyone seen the commercials for the Puma ball with Zach Thorton? I got a kick out of it.

Sorry but do you have a problem with getting smacked in the face with old balls?

    It had to be said.
