Has anybody eaten at Brothers BBQ in Denver because I heard the owners are huge supporters of the Rapids.
Now there's a roundabout way to promote Brothers BBQ. Yes, I've eaten there, and on many occasions. And have always done so without any knowledge of the owners giving a lick of spit about the Rapids. Food's damn good, 'nuff said.
B-BBQ I've been to the one by GW High (Leetsdale/Monaco) many times. The individual sandwiches are great, but the volume deals (a pound of meat, BBQ, bunch of buns) is a real steal..... Rapids supporters? Which outlet? RLH
I've been to the one by GW too. Great stuff. My guess is that the owner is English, because there's a lot of British Formula 1 stuff on the walls. I've also seen a Middlesboro scarf hanging there, so he's a fan of the game. Not sure where he stands on the Rapids, though.
I've only been to the one on Arapahoe/I25......not bad stuff. I think the ribs are a bit small from what I'm used to, but they are cooked the way ribs outta be. And the sides there are really good. The best ribs I've had are from this place called Blest BBQ, it's in downtown littleton. Also cooked to perfection, and they are a better quality rib (IMO). But.....they slather the ribs in sauce (a no-no IMO, sauce should be served on the side), and thier sides are terrible. They don't even serve beans and fries for god's sake! That's criminal. But thier ribs are the best......give/take I guess. And to keep this on topic....what was the name of the place that sponsored a BBQ at a rapids game last year?
Baaaaaa-Ba'Cue You know I tries to go twice, but as a season ticket holder, you couldn't get in...had to buy the 4 ticket family pack or something. If the Rapids are watching this board (which you do, don't deny it German!) why don't they approach Brothers BBQ???? Match made in heaven. maybe I'll get take-out for some games this year! RLH p.s. If Baba, still played for us, he could be the spokesperson.."Baaaa-Baaaa for Baaaaa-Baaaa-Cue"
You haven't had "REAL" BBQ unless you've been to Sam Taylor's. Their motto/T-shirts say "One bone is all it takes!" Silly wife won't wear her shirt. Sam has Texas toast, beans, Poke Sammiches, and plenty of other stuff.
Yeah the O'Sulliavan brothers own the joint and they where born in England. They are supporters of England and The Rapids. Let them know Rainier from Los Angeles said whats up.
