Hi guys Does anyone know any radio to listen to the game Irland-Albania live on the inernet? I live in usa and there is no way to watch it, only in some Irish Pub's in Newyork ,but I can't go couse of my job.
RTE RTE are useless. They broadcast matches on medium wave to all the people who can watch it on TV anywhere in Ireland and do not bother to broadcast it on the internet. They are a total disgrace. Unless by some miracle they have changed their policy your best bet is Newstalk 106. If they are not allowed cover the match they will at least keep you informed. http://www.newstalk106.ie/
The problem with RTE is that they usually don't have the internet rights to broadcast the game - the same as BBC Radio 5 with the Premiership.
RTE broadcasted the entire ALB-IRL match from Tirana online. Now can anyone who knows anything about computers suggest a reason why the Radio 1 stream won't work for me?
Maybe it's only the home games they can't broadcast online, possibly related to the whole Sky thing. Sometimes you have to try several times to connect to RTE Radio, or does it just not work for you at all?
It never works... hasn't for some time... in fact, none of the media on the RTE site works for me. It may have something to do with the audio file format that they use...
Maybe its because RTE are a joke of an organisation. Unluckily for you they are the only station to have radio rights. Newstalk 106 is your best bet to keep up tp date with the match if RTE doesn't work.
I just tried and I got it to work fine. Try to uninstall and reinstall Real Player, that might fix it.
It still says "unable to establish a connection with the server" And then it says something about http://ad.uk.doubleclick.net/ad/rte_media.ie/;sz=320x160;ord=123456789?
So far so good Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. But now wait and see. If they do deign to broadcast the game over the internet you will be lucky to get on. Usually they are not able to handle anywhere near the capacity required to allow everyone to get access. The same happens for Rugby matches but at least there you can get the game on BBC N.I. - which by the way never has any capacity problems. As I've said before - RTE are a disgrace. Good luck .. I hope it works for you. I'm not taking any chances but am going to Scallywags pub in Toronto to watch the game. Come on you boys in green.........
