On another thread some people mentioned soccer in Buffalo. Who would they Play?

Are there any plans for teams in any other cities in the region.

Whynot create a Great Lakes Division within the D3 Pro League or the PDL.

Actually this was considered many years ago in the D3 to have such a division that would have included Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit, Syracuse, Erie and some Canadian cities such as Kitchener, St. Catherines, Hamilton, London, Kingston, Windsor. But the OSA(Ontario Soccer Association) did not allow teams in any leagues lower than the A-League at the time. And as well the upstart OPSL (Ontario Professional Soccer League, which later became the Canadian Professional Soccer League)was supposed to get off the ground.

Erie has the Family First Sports Park which has a stadium, easy access to I-90 and two hotels near by.

I've no idea how big the stadium is (1000 - 3K?). Which is a great size for a PDL team. Considering their are several colleges in the area as well as within 3 hours of Erie, getting players should not be a problem.

I wish I had the money to own a team.
